On my shutters, awnings, and garage doors, I have the state of the opening and its position.
For those that can be finely controlled, I have the percentage, and if it’s 0, then I know it’s closed.
But for my garage door, I have the three commands Open/Pause/Close but not the position, so I never know if it’s open or closed.
It would be great if, when the state is open or closed, the indication shows at the verb level:
- Closed instead of Close
- Open instead of Open
However, be careful because if a shutter is slightly open, it is considered open even if the position is 15%.
I would say that we put Open only when the position is 100% because you can always Open.
For the garage door or an opening without a position, if you open it halfway, it will be Open because you never have the position.
