Forum merger: a new unified space for the Gladys community 🌐

Apparently it’s a feature request on their side:

I voted for the request over there
\normally, we should see all the posts from this forum appear in Google in English :fire:
I think Google has understood very well that it needs to re-crawl the site again to discover all the posts in English:

There must still be a problem because in a conversation here is what I get :

I see the same, the message must not have been translated.

I think they’re adding a button on the Discourse side to allow forcing the re-translation of a post in cases like this.

For the record, I see everything in English in that topic.

Hello everyone!

I’m currently testing a new AI model for the forum (and then for Gladys Plus).

Mistral has recently released models that really start to compete with OpenAI: they are open-source, hostable in France, and above all much cheaper than GPT-5 mini .

My monthly AI bill was starting to hurt, especially with the automatic translation of all the posts!

So I tested mistral-small-3.2-24b-instruct-2506, hosted at Scaleway (Paris), and I just activated it on the forum:

Compared to GPT-5 mini, the cost per output token is completely different:

And to have tested nano
it’s really catastrophic

Cherry on the cake, the API response times of Scaleway’s IA are excellent compared to OpenAI.

For Gladys Plus, I started my series of unit tests on mistral-small-3.2-24b-instruct-2506, and it’s really performant, even for the analysis of camera images.

If I make the switch, it will allow me to reduce costs and therefore offer more monthly queries, which will pave the way for new uses!
