Gladys Assistant 5.0.2: more fixes đŸ› ïž

Hello everyone :waving_hand:

Gladys Assistant 5.0.2 has just been released! Still in line with 5.0.1: a small corrective version, with fixes based on the feedback you’ve provided on the forum and on GitHub since yesterday. Thank you all :folded_hands:

:electric_plug: MQTT

  • When reconnecting to the broker, Gladys resubscribes to the custom topics of your devices. No need to restart to retrieve your values.

:cloud: Gladys Plus

  • Non-admin users can read the Gladys Plus status and thus use the voice assistant.

:artist_palette: Dashboard

  • Long MQTT device names are no longer truncated in the « Devices » widget.
  • On desktop, camera and home view images stay well within their card.
  • Value tiles now only stretch in columns composed solely of tiles: the preview in edit mode finally matches what you see afterward.

:up_arrow: Update

The update is done as usual from Settings → System, or automatically if you have enabled automatic updates.

Pierre-Gilles, I received the information about the version gap between gladys plus and my Gladys server. But when I clicked the link to update, it took me to the settings > system page with the â€č version â€ș section spinning without starting the update.

Gladys displayed this:

I did this from my iPhone. I don’t know if that makes a difference

I encountered the same issue on Android, but it returned to normal after closing and reopening Gladys.
