Gladys Assistant 5.0.4: Home view pins, ConBee III and polish 🛠️

Hello everyone :waving_hand:

Gladys Assistant 5.0.4 has just been released! A slightly more feature-rich version than the previous 5.0.x releases: a real novelty on the dashboard, support for the ConBee III, and a series of fixes based on your feedback :folded_hands:

:house: Home View

  • Pins can now be moved by drag-and-drop in the editor (mouse, finger, or stylus). No need to delete a pin to reposition it. Keyboard arrows also allow for pixel-perfect adjustments.

:artist_palette: Dashboard

  • On a tablet in portrait mode (Shelly Wall Display XL, iPad…), the dashboard now displays multiple columns instead of stacking all widgets in full width.
  • The « … » menu of the dashboard bar is readable on desktop: the text of the cards no longer shines through.
  • Long texts wrap in cards instead of overflowing.
  • Scene names no longer break letter by letter in narrow columns.
  • In the editor, the dropdown menus at the bottom of the screen remain accessible.
  • The empty state of the dashboard no longer appears behind the loading veil.
  • The header of a graph follows the series actually displayed in the legend.
  • The selector of the « Devices » widget now groups features by room, like in scenes.
  • Switches have the correct « hand » cursor on hover.
  • Sensor names are aligned (no more offset due to an old icon margin).

:electric_plug: Integrations

  • Zigbee2mqtt: ConBee III is now in the list of coordinators, with the correct baud rate (115200 bauds). If you had worked around the issue by selecting « ConBee II » and manually adding the baud rate, switch to ConBee III in the configuration page.
  • Energy tracking: if your contract is not in the import list, the page now explains how to propose it to the community or create it manually.

:cloud: Gladys Plus

  • If the subscription is no longer up to date, Plus features are paused locally (Enedis, backups, AI, voice) with a clear banner. Everything resumes automatically as soon as the payment is regularized: the keys are not touched.
  • User invitation/revocation actions for Plus are hidden for non-admins.
  • The generation of 2FA backup codes now requires the current two-factor code.

:lock: Security

  • Integration secrets (API keys, MQTT/Zigbee2mqtt/etc. configuration) are now restricted to administrators.
  • The backup chain no longer uses the shell.

:world_map: Home

  • The longitude of the home remains well within the -180 / +180 range when selected on the map.

:up_arrow: Update

The update is done as usual from Settings → System, or automatically if you have enabled automatic updates.
