External integration - EDF Zen Week-End

Hi everyone!

I’m with EDF in Zen Week-End, and since the arrival of energy contracts in Gladys 5.2, I was missing two things to get the right cost: the model of this contract, and above all the public holidays, which are at the reduced rate in this offer but that Gladys doesn’t know. Here’s a small integration that fills these two gaps.

What it does

  • In Integrations → Energy Tracking → Contracts, 4 ready-to-use EDF models: Zen Week-End (Week-End option or Off-Peak Hours + WE) and Zen Week-End Plus (with the chosen day). The prices and subscriptions are those of the official EDF grid as of 15/09/2026, and remain modifiable in the contract.
  • Gladys then counts at the right price the weekend (from Saturday 0 h to Sunday 24 h), national holidays, your off-peak hours and the chosen day of the Plus offer. Holidays are calculated offline and transmitted to Gladys as they come.
  • Two triggers « Start of off-peak hours » and « End of off-peak hours », to the minute (the one in the heart only checks the price every 30 minutes).
  • An action « Read the EDF tariff period » and a widget « Off-peak hours »: the current period and until when, the off-peak hours of the day and the next day, the next holiday.

The cool thing

Start of off-peak hours → turn on the water heater, and turn it off at the end
Car plugged in → only start charging if the reduced price is in effect
Washing machine ready → only start it if there are at least 2 hours of off-peak hours left

Installation

Gladys 5.2 minimum.

It will arrive in the store at the next indexer pass. In the meantime: Integrations → Install from GitHub, with the address GitHub - guim31/gladys-edf-zen-weekend: EDF Zen Week-End energy contract for Gladys Assistant: off-peak hours, weekends and public holidays · GitHub

  1. In Energy Tracking → Contracts, create a contract from an EDF Zen Week-End model.
  2. Check your off-peak hours (they depend on your accommodation, see your bill) and the subscription price according to your power: it is pre-filled for 6 kVA, the complete grid is in the description.

Small honest reservations: the prices are those of new subscriptions, the Flex option is not managed (its days are announced day by day), and the increase for self-producers is not counted. The calculations have been verified with the real tariff engine of Gladys 5.2, over three years of dates, including time changes, but not yet in a real instance or against a real bill.
