Create a button in « Settings » \ « System » to accept automatic updates for all external integrations, overriding update notifications, and implicitly validating new updates proposed for installation. If auto-installation is validated, Gladys will fully update (core + external integrations).
In my case, I prefer to validate updates to check for breaking changes in the integration and to control the updates of the integrations.
Hi @prohand
Of course, the user has the choice via this option: if it is active, Gladys automatically updates the external integrations, and otherwise, the installation is manual (notification of available updates and manual installation). The goal is, of course, not to force the hand, but to move towards simplification when it is possible.
Have a nice evening,
Jean
If I remember correctly, Gladys’ philosophy is to go with a « frozen » solution and not have options in every direction. In short, either we do it for everyone, or we don’t do it at all.
EDIT:
Hi @mutmut
So I’ll put on my user hat: « simple and ready to use » implies to me that Gladys automatically handles all updates, both for the « core » and for the integrations. Right?
Jean
so based on this analysis, I’ll let @pierre-gilles answer you because I thought the core and external integrations had slightly different policies.
