Hi everyone!
After reading @cicoub13’s thread about their update to SDK 0.15, I did the same for all my external integrations: 41 of them are released today in a corrective version. Nothing to reconfigure on your side, just update from Gladys.
What changes everywhere
- SDK 0.15 and up-to-date dependencies (
npm auditclean). - Independent refresh of the core. Gladys 5.2.0 only polls a device if it was created with
should_polland a valid frequency, and a device already created keeps these settings for life (Gladys#3198, fix #3199 not yet published). Integrations that depended on this polling now refresh themselves, and those that already did have a test that ensures it. - Much quieter logs. In normal operation, a read no longer writes anything at the info level: we keep the startup, the loss or return of a device or service, useful errors, and one line per action on your part. A recurring problem (box turned off at night, unreachable service, Gladys restarting) writes a line when it starts and one when it ends, plus one line every 10 seconds. To see everything again:
LOG_LEVEL=debugon the container.
Notable fixes
- IPP (printers) 1.3.1: added printers are read again even if Gladys does not poll them, and the IPP path announced in mDNS is finally taken into account (it was ignored until now).
- Subsonic / Navidrome 1.2.1: server and jukebox sensors are updated on devices created before 5.2; an empty Navidrome library no longer causes the entire read to fail.
- Roku 1.1.1: added Rokus are refreshed again every 10 seconds.
- UniFi 1.7.1: an error on startup could write the request headers (API key, session cookie) in the logs: only the message is kept now.
- Plex 1.2.1: an unreachable Plex server at startup is retried in the background, and a new player is no longer lost if Gladys is busy.
- Speedtest 1.3.1: when adding the device, the four sensors immediately display the last result.
- Hyundai / Kia 1.1.1: an account without a car is no longer read every minute but every 15 minutes.
- Tesla Wall Connector 1.3.1: a device without a serial number is no longer remembered under an empty name.
- WLED 1.1.1: a controller is no longer marked as unreachable when it’s Gladys that restarts, and the lists of effects and palettes are re-read after a failure.
- Sony Bravia 1.0.1: a TV whose key is refused no longer appears connected during its standby.
- Pi-hole 1.0.1: the update check failure is no longer retried on each read (once per hour).
- OctoPrint 1.0.1: a connection state refused once by Gladys is sent to the next update.
- Jellyfin 0.3.2: a failing command leaves a trace in the logs again.
- Android TV Remote 1.5.1: only the changing values are sent to Gladys, and the remote control library no longer writes each message exchanged with the TV. Two vulnerable dependencies it carried are forced to a corrected version.
