Fixes the temperature-widget anomaly reported on the forum: a t… emperature tile validated **compact** on the editor canvas came out as a **big centered tile** on the dashboard.
**Root cause.** In a mixed column (temperature tiles above device lists), a value tile absorbed the leftover height of its column, and whether that absorption crossed the adaptive big-tile threshold (the 130px container query in `roomTile.css`) depended on the exact height balance of the section's columns. The editor canvas cannot reproduce that balance: every widget wears ~4rem of edit chrome there (toolbar + in-between "+" slot), so a column's height on the canvas is shifted by its *widget count*. In the reported layout (4 widgets in the tile column vs 2 in its taller neighbor) the canvas showed the compact row while the dashboard rendered the big tile — reproduced pixel-for-pixel with a demo-mode dashboard mirroring the reporter's layout (viewer: 108px big tile / editor: 96px compact row before the fix).
**Fix.** Value tiles now share leftover height only when *every* box of their column is a value tile (`canBoxStretchInColumn` in `utils/dashboardSections.js`, used by both `BoxColumns.jsx` and `EditBoxColumns.jsx`) — which is the design's stated target for tile sharing in the layout spec. The decision becomes structural (column composition), so the viewer and the canvas apply it identically without measuring anything:
- **Mixed column** (the reported case): the tile keeps the compact card the editor showed, and the column simply ends earlier, per the existing cap principle ("stretch is a shock absorber, not an elastic").
- **All-tile columns** — including the flagship case of a lone tile next to a taller column — keep the adaptive big-tile behavior, now in *both* modes (verified: big centered tiles in viewer and editor alike).
The spec (`docs/specs/dashboard-flexible-layout-and-widgets.md`, A.4) is updated accordingly.
Verified in demo mode with Playwright before/after on three layouts: the reporter's mixed-column layout, an all-tile control section, and the demo Comfort dashboard (unchanged).
