Advice on equipment

So I’m looking to improve my setup; I’m missing some products and I need advice

I’m looking to test the moisture adhered to a wall to detect a leak from the seal under a bathtub (I just had this problem so the wall is moldy but I don’t have a puddle)

I’m also looking for a multi-button that you press to indicate who is at home or not, because the phone won’t work for now; I can’t find a reliable way to get presence detection )

I’m also looking for which product would give Gladys a voice, even pre-recorded phrases (Bluetooth speaker or other, I don’t know )

That’s it — looking forward to your good ideas

Happy New Year @everyone

Hello @Prof_Techno
I use this Zigbee remote to control several light fixtures in the same room. But for presence, it can work: each person has their own number, assuming there are at most four of you (otherwise a second remote)
Each button has three states: single, double and hold (3 sec)

There you go, have a good day

Thanks for that reference

actually we’re 5 at home but I’ll note the reference because if it exists in 4 it must exist in 6

In my searches, I haven’t seen any. But maybe on other models

Otherwise @Prof_Techno, if you want a multiple of 3, you buy 2 LORATAP 3-button remote controls

https://www.domadoo.fr/fr/peripheriques/5712-loratap-telecommande-zigbee-30-3-boutons.html?domid=17

For humidity, I don’t know if this kind of thing could work:

Or otherwise a simple humidity sensor that you’d stick to the wall? In my opinion if the wall is soaked it should raise the humidity significantly:

I have this model in several rooms

We have 3 speaker ecosystems compatible with Gladys for speaking through them:

  • Sonos
  • Google Home
  • Apple HomePod via AirPlay

For speaking, however, we use a paid TTS API that I provide via Gladys Plus.

If you don’t use Gladys Plus, it’s possible to use Node-RED otherwise

How about an RFID badge reader?
It might already exist as an off-the-shelf product, but if you know a bit of DIY, it’s very simple!
Everyone has their own badge and scans it when arriving/leaving…

Well, that really appeals to me.

I did that back then:
https://community.gladysassistant.com/t/tutoriel-integration-d-un-lecteur-rfid-dans-gladys/
It’s fairly comprehensive, I think (I just noticed an error in the wiring, I’ll fix that soon). About €7 of hardware :innocent:.
Still in use in my setup…

So I just looked at the post — it looks really great but it’s the power supply that will be a problem for me and it’s on Wi-Fi; I wonder if it’s doable directly on Zigbee and therefore on battery

your thing is cool!!!

so I answer myself: I found ESP32-H2 which seems to fit my idea because Zigbee, even Matter (Thread), and Bluetooth — still need to check the power consumption to see if wireless is possible like all my home components

(I add for info: voltage - How to correctly power an ESP32-H2 board with a battery - Electrical Engineering Stack Exchange)

if someone is able to translate this into battery and operating time:
