Creation of graphic dashboards

Hello,

As requested by @pierre-gilles, I am creating a topic about creating graphical dashboards in Gladys.

As mentioned in a previous post, I am a Home Assistant user who prefers it over Gladys for two reasons:

  • A larger number of integrations (for example, in Home Assistant, I have support for my Airzone air conditioning, an old Hitachi air conditioner thanks to the integration (and a Tado module), support for my Marantz stereo amplifier from the 70s… which I haven’t been able to find in Gladys)
  • The ability to develop « graphical » dashboards. For example, I have created a floor plan of my house on which I have positioned, in the form of icons, my lights, my Reolink cameras, the different thermostats of my air conditioning system…)

I haven’t been able to find an equivalent in Gladys to develop more « sexy » dashboards, but perhaps it exists and I haven’t been able to find it.

The plugin factory would help reduce the gap between HA and Gladys in terms of integrations, and a dashboard design system would further limit the gap between the two products (but, well, the idea is not to turn Gladys into a clone of HA).

Warning: I know very little about Gladys and I am not an advanced Home Assistant user.

Hello!

As I am not a HA user at all, I have no idea what you mean by ‹ graphical dashboard ›. Do you have a screenshot to share?

Example: this is one of my dashboards (in progress). The icons (camera, temperature, light bulbs, etc.) are clickable and then give me access to more information.

My first screenshot shows the screen I get when clicking on a light bulb, for example

I think it would be interesting to be quite exhaustive about what you have in mind.

Because for the moment, apart from the house floor plan view, the rest is already done in Gladys a priori  (unless I misunderstood what you meant!)
