Home automation of my heating

Hello,

I’m reaching out to your experiences

I’m thinking about automating my heating.

For this, I have a thermostat installed by my heating engineer, a DeltaDore Tybox 137.

It’s a battery-powered system with display of settings (temperatures, schedule, etc.) connected via a proprietary protocol to a radio receiver that presumably acts as a dry contact for my pump system.

Several solutions are available to me:

  1. Buy the TyDom 1.0 home automation box from DeltaDore, for €100, which does a lot of DeltaDore stuff via a mobile app, with uncertain API openings.
  2. Replace everything with a Nest or Netatmo system (what’s that worth? what do I gain? I’m not sure, are the APIs open?)
  3. Replace with a home system, like an EnOcean contactor that acts as a receiver, and Gladys controls the triggering, based on temperature sensors…? In this case, Gladys becomes critical for heating.

I’m a bit struggling to position myself.

If you have experiences, opinions, solutions, I’m interested!!
