I have a 2003 boiler with a gas (town gas) burner
I have wanted to install a connected thermostat for many years, but I don’t know which one to choose.
Of course, it must be compatible with Gladys… otherwise, it’s not funny
For my part, I use Netatmo and frankly, it works great!
We have worked a lot on the subject to integrate it into Gladys. A PR is in progress (very advanced, by the way) and already integrates many different Netatmo devices (thermostat, thermostatic head, camera, weather station, …).
The goal would be to release a version before winter We’ll keep you posted, a few modifications/tests still need to be done
Well, honestly, I don’t know any services that don’t use the cloud… Netatmo goes through the cloud and thus the service hits the Netatmo API. It works well but it’s necessarily on the internet.
For your problem, there might be a service that works without the cloud. The other option is to do it yourself via Gladys?
I’m new here so I don’t understand everything yet.
Anyway, I’m also looking for a thermostat that can be integrated with Gladys and the Netatmo is catching my eye. Does it integrate well? I haven’t found out how I would do it if I get it.
As for the MacGyver solution with a soldering iron and the flash of the Sonoff relay, I unfortunately lack the equipment to apply it ^^’
The MacGyver solution can be completely simplified. First, it is not mandatory to flash the Sonoff relay: you can use the Ewelink integration in Gladys.
To avoid soldering, there are other modules that can be used example
And it also exists in ZigBee and others
Search for ‹ dry contact relay › by adding the integration you prefer!
