Oh well, I created a pass for Gladys and then I have a code pending on my phoneâŠ
Normally, it doesnât matter whether you have enabled two-factor authentication or not, the application password is all you need.
If you are talking about iCal subscriptions, it is planned, not immediately but it is planned. I am looking for the best way to integrate it. The problem is that we donât have a status like with a CalDAV server so each time we will have to resynchronize the entire calendar.
Please note that the service has been completely rewritten compared to the v3 module, synchronization is done in a much more optimized way but I may have missed some points (I unfortunately could only test on Nextcloud and iCloud). @link39 and everyone else, I suggest you tell me the problems you have encountered, we should discuss them directly on the CalDAV topic to avoid polluting this one: https://community.gladysassistant.com/t/calendrier-module-caldav/4598
OK, thanks for the feedback. If you need access to a Synology, let me know.
Itâs fine, I had to reset all my generated passwords, I had made them with the same name for v3âŠ
However, which calendars does it sync? I feel like I only have one.
They should all be synchronized. I havenât tested it extensively on iCloud, but on Nextcloud, they are all there. Could you check in the database which calendars exist?
Indeed, it synchronizes all iCloud calendars normally.
Note, only calendars from iCloud are synchronized. For example, if you have connected your Google account to your Mac to have the events from your Google calendar on iCloud, these calendars will not be synced, only the native iCloud ones will be!
If you encounter bugs @Hamtaro, you can come to the topic of @bertrandda to discuss it:
https://community.gladysassistant.com/t/calendrier-module-caldav/4598/48
I need to check carefully but that must be it! I think I have a few Gmail calendars, thanks for the tip, Iâll investigate and get back on the subject

Hello everyone!
I wanted to give a quick update on my current goals for Gladys 4 before we can exit beta mode ![]()
As you know, I previously announced an (overly optimistic) release date for the RC, and I realized during development that the workload was still too heavy to meet these dates, and above all, that meeting these dates would have forced me to rush certain parts: thatâs not what we want.
For me, the RC will mean a product:
- Stable, stable, and stable
- Well-designed
- Translated into French
- Lightweight, performant, and properly tested with different types of platforms/products.
- A guaranteed, stable API that is never modified in a breaking way after an update.
- Well-documented
- Being absolutely sure that at no point in the lifecycle of a Gladys installation will the user need to use SSH. Everything must be possible from the UI, or must be done automatically by Gladys.
All my tasks on the Gladys milestone are geared towards this:
I am focused on stability, the core, the API, and the user experience.
See the milestone Gladys 4 RC which groups all my current tasks:
The work of the entire community helps me enormously: both the developments that are being made (the latest developments by @VonOx, for example, on the deployment part will save us a ton of time!), and the tests you are conducting.
Please, test, test, test Gladys 4, so that we have the maximum number of bug reports/feedback on the UI: the more we have, the more we will have an RC that kicks ass ![]()
The installation guide for Gladys 4 on Raspberry Pi, Docker, MacOS/Windows & Freebox Delta
I canât announce a date, because unlike a large company, development time depends on everyoneâs availability ![]()
In any case, on my side, I am doing my best to move things forward and I will keep you informed as usual!
On another aspect, the use of the Gladys Gateway continues to increase (over the last 30 days, 330k end-to-end encrypted messages have been processed), which raises architectural questions, in order to guarantee the same quality of service as before! ![]()
The new uses enabled by Gladys 4: End-to-end encrypted remote access to cameras, daily backup of Gladys, are evolving the architecture to ensure performance is always up to par.
I constantly monitor the performance of the Gladys Gateway, to ensure its use is transparent for you ![]()
These are great news for the project, as it is only thanks to the financial contributions on Gladys Plus that I can spend time on Gladys!
Hello everyone!
Small update on Gladys 4 over the last few weeks ![]()
On the Gladys 4 code
- Gladys 4 is now available in French
See the community post - Philips Hue LWO001, LLC001 and LTW013 are now managed by Gladys! See the commit
- Gladys 4 now uses Open-ZWave 1.6, the latest version of OZW! See the commit
- The « Integrations » tab is now clearer and displays all integrations by default. Categories are now filters. See on the demo site.
- SQLite is now launched in « WAL mode » (Write-Ahead-Log) for better performance, especially for users with many devices that frequently write to the database. Learn more about WAL on the SQLite website. This change is the first in a series of optimizations I want to make to achieve maximum performance in Gladys 4. See the « Performance » tagged issues on GitHub.

You may have followed on the forum or on Twitter, I migrated this Discourse forum to a new, more powerful server, running Ubuntu 20.04, the latest LTS version of Ubuntu!
Gladys Plus/Gladys Gateway
The use of Gladys Gateway is on the rise, with the bar of 2 million end-to-end encrypted messages passed last Friday! For now, itâs existing customers who are using their installations more, but I hope to see this trend with new subscriptions ![]()
If youâre hesitant to take the plunge and have questions before taking the Gladys Plus pack, donât hesitate to ask me all your questions!
Retired old developer site?
The old developer site, coded in 2015, based on PHP/MySQL, is still online to support Gladys 3 ![]()
I made a proposal this morning to make this site static, so that the store API remains online for Gladys 3 instances, without requiring too much maintenance.
Conclusion
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the Gladys repository over the last few weeks and has enabled these improvements ![]()
I repeat what I said earlier: the goal of this v4 is to have a stable product, easy to set up and consistent as a whole.
All recent and ongoing developments are in this direction ![]()
Hello everyone!
Iâm working on the new site for Gladys 4 (including the documentation, compatible devices), and Iâd like to know: those who use cameras with Gladys 4, what camera model do you use? ![]()
the Annke Nova Orion:
When I was using the V4, I went through RTSP, @MathieuA helped me with the configuration.
Hello,
http://support.storex.fr/produits/STOREX-dnr30h.html
Storex DNR-30h.
For my part, Reolink RLC 410 and 420.
Hello,
For me,
Foscam 8910
Konx kw02c
Sfr rc8221
Konig 105w
Techage 1810
None of them work on Gladys
Only Foscam and Sfr work
Good luck
Hello,
For my part, a Wansview Q3S in RTSP.
I also have a Xiaomi, but I havenât yet found a way to extract the stream.
Thanks to everyone for your responses!
@Psoy Iâm surprised about the Konx kw02c, when I looked it up I found this => Ajouter le KONX KW02C ou KW05 Ă votre Synology Surveillance Station en mode ONVIF -, it seems to support RTSP
Nice one! While searching on Amazon, I came across the Q5 for 25⏠(wansview 2K WiFi Caméra avec Audio Bidirectionnel, Alerte)
Which clearly seems to be well open =>
Thank you Pierre Gilles,
I will look into it for the intercom
Konx. I was able to read the stream with VLC when my intercom was managed by iPhone and since I configured it on a Huawei, I can no longer read it. So I will check that
See you soon
Hello everyone!
Just a quick message to let you know that Iâm going on vacation starting next week
My last vacation was at the end of August 2019, so you can imagine how much Iâm looking forward to it ![]()
Given that Iâm very rarely on vacation, when I am, I completely disconnect: I wonât be available on the forum or by email. The goal is to fully recharge, clear my mind, and come back refreshed to work on v4.
Iâm counting on the solidarity of the forum to help new members or anyone who needs assistance during this period, even though summer is usually quieter ![]()
I donât know how you perceive recent developments and the priorities I set for different tasks.
There are a large number of issues and PRs pending: I know this, and Iâm doing my best to get all these PRs merged into master.
Unfortunately, my time is very limited, and I have to prioritize tasks. For example, in June, I decided to work on the new Gladys 4 site (Forum post, Site preview: https://v4.gladysassistant.com), which puts documentation at the heart of the site to better help the community. Because developing without documenting is pointless: no one knows the features exist. Itâs a major project that took up all of June, and during that time I didnât work on the issues/PRs.
I hope you understand this choice and donât think Iâm « playing dead » during these periods
I simply donât have the personal bandwidth to do everything at once.
In any case, Iâm really very proud of all the developments weâve been able to do together in this 2019/2020 year!
The v4 is becoming more and more convincing to me, and the Gladys Plus usage statistics show that those who have embarked on the Gladys 4 adventure are convinced!
Thank you all again for your support ![]()
Hello everyone!
Iâm back from vacation, ready to dive back into work on Gladys v4 ![]()
Iâll start by clearing the messages sent in my absence, and then Iâll pick up where I left off before the vacation, namely the new v4 website!
See you soon on Gladys ![]()
