It worked !!! Thank you very much !
I’ll try to do a restore with GladysPlus on my second Raspberry Pi to see if z2m re-imports correctly or not.
In any case, you’ll remember your migration!
No kidding!! Waiting months for the migration tool only to end up doing it by hand… what a mess ^^
THANKS again for your help ![]()
Glad it worked out in the end @guim31! If anyone has the same issues with automatic restoration, please let us know here so we can investigate.
In any case, this development had been tested by @GBoulvin and it should normally work, so that’s surprising ^^
The development has been tested for restoring a backup, but migrating to another device isn’t that simple, if

I reiterate my request which must have slipped through the cracks

Good evening @pierre-gilles @AlexTrovato
I have Xiaomi buttons
Hello! Sorry, I hadn’t seen your message ![]()
Can you send here the page for your button on the Zigbee2mqtt website: https://www.zigbee2mqtt.io/supported-devices/?
Hello @pierre-gilles
I kind of suspected it, but it’s not a big deal ![]()
I don’t understand your request
it’s already on this page, it’s the button:
Thank you that’s what I wanted ![]()
Normally there’s no need to delete the button and re-create it, it’s just an interface change.
If your button displays differently, it means it’s not affected by this development.
@AlexTrovato Any idea why this button isn’t affected?
I have no idea how this new, more user-friendly command system works, but when I try to create a scene that uses my Zigbee Aqara WXKG11LM button, I end up with these options:
It’s not very clear, to be honest, because there are some somewhat redundant things. Especially since on the z2m side the possible commands are:
single, double, triple, quadruple, hold, release
Does this require a specific integration for each device?
Stand down,
Everything’s back to normal, I don’t know why, but it’s working. It took about two days for the change to be applied. Sorry, I should have rechecked before alerting you again
Thanks for your replies
For my part my scenes were working but I noticed while editing those with a button that it was necessary to re-save « Single click »
On the other hand it took 2 days to install (after seeing that I had moved to V4.18), but I didn’t need to tweak the scenes, all my scenes with that button work
I think that as it stands there is only one type of selector, regardless of the device, even if it doesn’t necessarily handle every type of click.
And why not simply report the same information as z2m? I feel like we’re complicating things for no reason. That would avoid having to recode all the button types, right?
That said, it’s easy to say but maybe not necessarily easy to set up with the current logic.
For my part I use a switch with 4 buttons with lots of commands and not managed by Gladys,
Our main problem is that we don’t handle string values, only integers… we need a major overhaul.
Ah yes indeed…!
Not being a developer, I can’t gauge the interest / the issues related to integrating strings, but that would seem like a good feature request, wouldn’t it? I have the impression that many of us have to go through Node-red for something that’s, all things considered, fairly basic.
feature request for using already-created character strings!
vote on it…
I’ve looked everywhere and I can’t find it…
do you have a link you could give me?
