Gladys Assistant 4.78: Weekly Home Report by AI

Hello everyone

I just published Gladys Assistant 4.78!

Here are the new features:

:robot: AI Weekly Report

The flagship feature of this version: the weekly report of your smart home.

Every week, Gladys can send you a personalized summary of your connected home: comfort, energy consumption, disconnected sensors, trends, and practical tips.

By default, the report is sent every Sunday at 6:00 PM, which is configurable in the « Artificial Intelligence Â» integration:

Here’s an example of a report from my production environment

Hello, here is your weekly home summary for the period from June 2 to June 8, 2026.

Your total electricity consumption for this week was 55.99 kWh, costing 8.26 euros. There is a downward trend compared to the previous week, which showed a consumption of 59.12 kWh and a cost of 9.36 euros. The washing machine outlet in the pantry consumed 2.11 kWh during this period.

Regarding the maintenance of your equipment, several sensors are silent and require your attention. The CO2 sensor in the office has not transmitted data for several months. Additionally, the motion sensor in the bathroom has been inactive for 5 weeks, and the presence detector in the toilet has been offline for a very long time.

Of course, we can evolve this report if you have ideas!!

:bar_chart: Dashboard: Link Widget

You can now add a Link widget to your dashboard to access an external interface with one click: Zigbee2mqtt, Tasmota, your box interface, NAS, camera, etc.

Each link is customizable:

  • Title
  • URL
  • Icon (website, server, NAS, Wi-Fi, web interface…)

Practical for centralizing all your accesses from Gladys.

:electric_plug: List of Integrations: Redesigned Interface on Mobile

The integrations page has been redesigned for clearer and more enjoyable navigation on mobile.

Not bad, right?

:brain: Removal of the Old « Local Brain Â»

The old local AI system (pre-recorded questions/answers) has been removed.

It dated back to a time when AI didn’t exist, and today, it gave a bad impression of Gladys to someone who installs it for the first time.

Removing this old code lightens Gladys, removes an unnecessary « NLP Â» library, and makes Gladys start up faster

:high_voltage: Energy Monitoring

Bug fix for grouping in the monthly/annual consumption widget. Data should now display correctly for these periods.

:clapper_board: Scenes

When selecting a device property in a scene trigger « Device State Change, Â» devices without a room are now visible with a « No Room Â» category.

No more « ghost Â» devices that are impossible to select

:satellite_antenna: Zigbee2mqtt

Two additions for Zigbee2mqtt users:

DEVELCO Keypad: support for keypad actions:

  • disarm
  • arm day zones / night zones / all zones
  • exit delay
  • emergency

Alarm sirens: new actions trigger_alarm and stop_alarm (e.g., Bosch outdoor siren), usable in your scenes and automations.

:package: Update

As usual, the update will be done automatically within 24 hours if you use Watchtower.

Otherwise, you can launch the update with one click in the settings.

:folded_hands: Thanks

Thanks to the entire community for the feedback, testing, and suggestions.

Don’t hesitate to share your opinion on this version, especially on the AI weekly report, I’m very curious to see what it does for you!

Full changelog: v4.77.0 → v4.78.0

Another great release!
Great job and well done

PS: I’m happy to be with Gladys Plus, the AI is going to start being my friend

I’m trying to add a lot of things with the AI because it’s clearly the future! If you have any ideas, let me know

Once again, thank you so much for quickly implementing the feature and for being so lovely to talk to.

Nice work.

For AI, I suggest adding OpenClaw and Hermes Agent integrations with the WEB UI and specific configuration for home automation and MCP connection with Gladys. For local use, we can also add Ollama.

Having these integrations directly offered in Gladys will improve Gladys’ readability.

For OpenClaw / or other AI agents, it’s already possible, I even made a video on the subject :slightly_smiling_face:

Yes, I had seen your video, but here I’m talking about having integrations offered by Gladys. It’s more user-friendly.
After that, I don’t know if that’s the kind of integration you want in Gladys, as it goes beyond the « home automation Â» scope.
