Hello everyone,
The v4.0.3 version of Gladys is available!
What are the changes?
I mainly worked on the scenes last week.
There are now 2 new types of actions in the scenes related to the user’s presence at home: « User seen at home » and « user left home ». These actions allow you to define the presence of a Gladys user from the scenes ![]()
On the dashboard, this gives:
You can set a user as present at home:
Or absent:

Another highly anticipated box has been released, the « HTTP Request » box!
Yes, it is now possible to make HTTP GET, POST, PATCH, PUT and DELETE requests in the scenes.
I wrote a quite rich tutorial in the documentation where I took an example of integration with IFTTT and Google Sheet. To read on the site:
Many improvements have also been developed:
- CalDav calendars are now synchronized with their color! This makes it easier to find your way around your calendar integrated with Gladys. Thanks @bertrandda!
- An MQTT bug has been fixed that prevented multiple clients from connecting with the same username/password. Another MQTT bug has been fixed when an external broker was configured.
- Many fixes have been made to the Bluetooth service. Thanks @AlexTrovato!
- The available disk size is now rounded in the display of the available disk in the settings.
The complete changelog is available on GitHub.
How to update?
If you installed Gladys with the official Raspbian image, your instances will update automatically in the coming hours. This can take up to 24 hours, no panic.
If you installed Gladys with Docker, check that you are using Watchtower (See the documentation)
Congratulations to everyone who participated in this release!
