AI absent from discussions

Hello,

For some time now, the discussion thread appears to no longer involve the AI in the conversation if the question was posed via a scene.
To be more precise, the AI has not responded since May 24.
Examples:

From the local discussion thread, the same. The questions asked via scenes no longer seem to be sent to the AI

Thanks for your reply, I’ll try to reproduce it and get back to you.

Recently, I’ve been sending a more complete history of previous exchanges with Gladys, maybe the AI is struggling with too much data…

I’ll keep you posted!

I just ran some tests and indeed, I can reproduce it :stuck_out_tongue:

I think the AI has become lazy, it replies:

{"type":"NO_RESPONSE","answer":"","room":"","scene":"","device":""}

I think I can improve the way the data is formatted so it’s clearer in those cases, and I’ll add this case to my test dataset!

Thanks for the feedback!

@GBoulvin I’ve pushed an improvement on the Gladys Plus side regarding this that fixes the behavior. Let me know if it’s better

If you still have issues, share the full conversation with me so I can try to reproduce it!

Quick question about the choice of AI: @pierre-gilles do you think switching to Mistral AI would be more beneficial (better, cheaper and above all more sovereign) than ChatGPT?
If yes, is the switch a big job? And more generally on Gladys, changing an « external component Â» like that, is it a lot of development work?

To be honest, I haven’t studied Mistral in depth. When I integrated AI into Gladys, OpenAI was clearly the only mature player on the market at that time :slightly_smiling_face:

From a quick look at Mistral’s site, their offering seems a bit more expensive, although it’s hard to compare because the models aren’t strictly equivalent in terms of capabilities.

And on the features side, we’re still far from the very complete ecosystem offered by OpenAI.

OpenAI is moving at an incredible speed, with very regular and often mind-blowing new features. I sometimes struggle to keep up as the changes are so fast :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Regarding sovereignty, it’s a complex subject: what is sovereign in France isn’t necessarily so for our users in Canada, the United States, or Germany.

Gladys is used in many countries, and my priority remains to offer the best possible AI at the best price for everyone. And today, OpenAI perfectly fills that role

It really depends on the component.

It’s hard to generalize: each integration is a particular case

It’s working again, thanks for your follow-up @pierre-gilles !

@StephaneB I’m replying to you here since the thread is closed
The ‹ yes â€ş came from the tips of my fingers. I’m asking for confirmation because the anti-crease period is still ongoing an hour after the end of the drying cycle and I don’t want to risk interrupting it. Also, I sometimes run multiple cycles and I don’t want to have to turn the outlet back on two minutes after it has switched off automatically :innocent:

@GBoulvin I’m curious about how what you’re showing works. I imagine it’s a scene that sends the message « should the washing machine be turned off? Â» But then, how do you retrieve the answer « yes Â»?
