Installation of development environment on Mac

Hello,

I’m trying to install the dev environment on Mac (Gladys v4) and I can’t complete the installation :frowning: Could someone who is on Mac help me? :slight_smile:

What I have installed:

  • Node v13.6.0
  • sqlit3 v3.24.0
  • openssl v1.1 1.1.1d installed with homebrew
  • openzwave v1.6.962 installed with homebrew
  • libopenzwave1.5-dev → can’t find it

I then tried the npm install of the server but it fails with the error Failed at the openzwave-shared@1.5.8 install script., I imagine because of the uninstalled library.

Where can I find this library?

This shouldn’t be a problem, normally you can run the server without the Z-Wave service, are you sure it’s not a warning?

If you really want to make Z-Wave work, I advise you to read the recommendations of the node lib openzwave-shared that we use, I found this issue which seems interesting →

Or simply the README which suggests installing open-zwave manually from source, via a git clone of the open-zwave repo.

Then, you could either pull down the OZW repo from Github and do a make && sudo make install

J’avais bien tenté d’installer openzwave de cette manière sans plus de succès.

En fait c’est la deuxième fois que je tente l’installation de l’environment de dev, à chaque fois je n’arrive pas à aller jusqu’au bout. Les deux serveurs démarrent, mais j’ai un Cannot GET / quand je vais sur localhost:1443.

Les seuls erreurs ou warnings que j’ai sont côté serveur, à propos de zwave, donc je me suis dit que c’était pour cette raison que ça ne fonctionnait pas, mais c’est aussi bien si le service n’est pas nécessaire.

The front is on port 1444, 1443 is the server.

As @VonOx said, you are trying to access the server, which has no / route, the error is normal!

The port is localhost:1444
