Instance not connected to Gladys Plus

Hello,

I no longer have access to Gladys and this page appears when I log in:

At the bottom of the page, no name is displayed in the « Select your Gladys user » window
Thanks in advance for your feedback

Everything is back to normal, without intervention, what could have happened?

Probably a temporary loss of internet connection…

Hi @Jluc  The error message is very clear, your instance was not connected to Gladys Plus.

Several possibilities:

  • The machine running Gladys is OFF (power outage, unplugged instance, system update, reboot, etc..)
  • If you have other software on that machine, were they running tasks that could have overloaded the system? If the RAM is full, the machine can struggle
  • Your internet is OFF (or the machine running Gladys can no longer access the internet)
  • Gladys is updating (unlikely here, the last update was over a week ago)

Thank you @GBoulvin for your reply and @pierre-gilles for your detailed analysis; it’s reassuring to be advised and not feel alone.
I had indeed checked the internet connection (Pi 3b on RJ connected to the fiber box) and the power supply, the hard drive and the Pi which runs exclusively for Gladys. I created the thread because the issue had lasted at least 1 hour.
Have a good day everyone

Was Gladys accessible locally during that hour?

I only tested it locally and it wasn’t working. I was worried because I’m going to be away

From the previous screenshot, you were trying to connect via Gladys Plus, that is to say over the Internet.
Connecting locally means you don’t go through the Internet and that you connect through your local network by entering the IP address of the machine on which Gladys is running.
Apparently, the problem, which seems to be resolved, was that the machine running Gladys had an issue with Internet connectivity.
The question was to identify the source of this connection problem, which can be completely independent of Gladys!
