Problem accessing gladys +

Hello, are you having trouble accessing Gladys Plus? Locally no issues
But via Google or via G+ nothing works

Actually, no access at my place…

Same here, it’s down

Same here too!

It’s back for me ^^’

Good evening,
it works for me

\nHello, \nIt works for me

Same here, it went away and then came back.

Hello!

Gladys Plus outages are rare! Good that it resolved itself  Unfortunately I was in the middle of the night at that time ^^

I investigated a bit to understand.

I clearly saw a restart of the Gladys Plus backend at that time, but unfortunately I no longer have the container logs because my log retention isn’t long enough to go back to Saturday  I’ll increase the retention in case it happens again.

What’s surprising is that my service for checking uptime didn’t see anything, and didn’t send me any alerts.

Two possibilities:

  • The downtime was short and occurred between two health checks
  • The HTTP API was still available, but not the WebSockets API (my health check is HTTP only)

Regarding load on Gladys Plus at that time, my monitoring tools don’t show anything unusual so I doubt it came from that…

The only lead I have is this email I received from DigitalOcean (my host) on October 15:

Maybe they had hardware issues on the 15th and they’re planning a scheduled update today to fix these issues ^^

Don’t hesitate to let me know if you have problems again!

I think you have the right hypothesis, because indeed, I had the Gladys Plus interface, but without any connection to my Raspberry Pi. As if I hadn’t set up my account yet.

How about the others, how was it on your side? I was able to arrive after or during the reboot in my case.

One thing is certain, Gladys Plus is indeed being used because many of us noticed it!

that’s another matter, the interface isn’t hosted in the same place (Netlify for the interface)

Indeed, the interface is OK but the connection is down.
I didn’t check the network packets myself; I was busy.

I only noticed personally because Google told me « Gladys Assistant isn’t accessible Â».
Because otherwise I run everything locally and I’m not sure I would have noticed ^^

I had the same interface as the first time you select a user for Gladys Plus. So I must have arrived after the restart?

For info, I use https://uptimerobot.com/ with notifications via Telegram, it’s super convenient!
But I don’t know if it handles sockets.

I use it too

It didn’t detect the downtime unfortunately.
