Hi everyone!
Daikin, MELCloud (Mitsubishi), Midea, Gree… one major name was missing from the list of air conditioners: Panasonic. This integration controls Panasonic air-to-air air conditioners and heat pumps (Etherea, TZ, Z, ducted units…) already configured in the Comfort Cloud app.
What it does
- One device per indoor unit, under the name it has in the app:
- on/off, mode (auto, cool, heat, dehumidification, fan), setpoint to the half-degree, 6 fan speeds;
- vertical and horizontal swing;
- indoor and outdoor temperatures;
- Powerful and quiet modes, nanoe, ECONAVI when the unit has them;
- energy of the day, plus a counter for Gladys energy tracking.
- A scene action « Apply an air conditioner preset »: mode, setpoint, fan speed, and special mode all at once.
- A « Air Conditioner » widget with on, −/+ 0.5 °C, and mode selection.
- A trigger « Panasonic connection required » if Panasonic asks for a code or new conditions.
- In French, English, German, and Spanish.
A setpoint set while the air conditioner is off does not turn it on: it applies at the next startup. No air conditioner starts unexpectedly due to a scene.
The cool thing
At 6:30 a.m. on weekdays → preset Heat 21 °C in the living room
At 10 p.m., if the bedroom exceeds 26 °C → Cool 25 °C, low fan, quiet mode
« Panasonic connection required » → a message to go enter the code
Installation
Gladys 5.2 minimum.
It will arrive in the store at the next indexer run. In the meantime: Integrations → Install from GitHub, with GitHub - guim31/gladys-panasonic-cc: Panasonic Comfort Cloud air conditioners and heat pumps for Gladys Assistant · GitHub
- Enter your Panasonic ID email and password.
- Discovery tab: add your units.
Honest small reservations
- Cloud only: you need the Internet, and Panasonic sometimes changes its connection.
- Energy arrives with about an hour delay.
- No management of weekly programming or ducted unit zones. Aquarea heat pumps (hot water, central heating) are not concerned.
- Developed without a Panasonic air conditioner. I rolled out the real Panasonic connection from my home to the refusal of a fake account, so the authentication (the part that breaks the most often) is good. The rest awaits your feedback.
Like the previous ones, developed with Claude Code. Independent project, not affiliated with Panasonic.
