Hello everyone,
I’m introducing a new external integration for Gladys: Pushover.
Pushover is a push notification app for Android, iPhone, iPad, and computer. With this integration, Pushover becomes a messaging channel for Gladys, like Telegram: each user links their own Pushover account and only receives messages intended for them.
What it does
Scene messages arrive as notifications on your devices (Send Message action).
Camera images are attached to the notification (Send Camera Image action).
Multiple users: each user enters their Pushover key in “My Account”. A Pushover group key also works.
Device selection: you can limit reception to certain devices (iphone, ipad), or leave it blank to receive them on all.
The configuration screen displays the remaining monthly quota (10,000 free messages per month).
The integration checks the token and key format before sending and pauses sending after a refusal: Pushover temporarily blocks an IP address that chains rejected requests, and this address is that of the entire house.
This is a one-way channel: you cannot reply to Gladys from Pushover.
Prerequisites
- Gladys 4.86 or higher
- A Pushover account per person, with the app installed on their devices. The app is free for 30 days, then purchased once per platform.
Getting Started
- Administrator: create an app on pushover.net/apps/build, naming it “Gladys” for example. This name and its icon serve as the title for notifications. Then paste its API token into the integration configuration.
- Each user: copy your “User Key”, displayed at the top of pushover.net, into the My Account block of the integration.
- In a scene, choose the Send Message or Send Camera Image action, with Pushover or All Configured Services in Send via.

Feedback Welcome
This is a first version: don’t hesitate to test it and give me your feedback here, or open an issue on GitHub in case of a bug. ![]()
