Most popular Home Assistant integrations → candidates for Gladys external integrations

That’s true, but I made that choice personally because, in my opinion, the balance still leaned more towards « it makes other topics invisible ».
I opened more than 120 topics in a few days… the forum was disgusting ^^
I think people who will come to Gladys will rather browse the store than the forum.

On GitHub, I went from 20 repos to 70 in a few days :joy::joy:

Doesn’t the MQTT Virtual Devices integration already do that?

I thought the same thing…

One last one for the night (quota limit): Hive

So, did you do these 2 integrations or not? Because when I checked the site after updating, I saw that they were announced on the forum.

And since it’s been 3 days, given how fast you’re moving, they might have been dropped, or maybe they weren’t as simple to develop, or something is missing in the Gladys core.

Let me know and I’ll put them back on the table otherwise.

As agreed, here’s the recap of the evening (no more topics by integration): 49 integrations published, each with its GitHub link for « Integrations → Install from GitHub » while waiting for the store indexer to pass.

Energy and charging: go-e Charger · Fronius Wattpilot · myenergi (zappi, eddi) · FoxESS · SolaX Power · APC UPS Daemon (apcupsd)

Heating, air and appliances: Ariston NET (Ariston, Chaffoteaux, Elco) · Bosch HomeCom Easy · NIBE myUplink · Mill · Dreo · Liebherr SmartDevice · AirGradient · Awair · Qingping · Blueair · Winix · MEATER · Cookidoo (Thermomix)

Network and servers: MikroTik · TP-Link Omada · OpenWrt · pfSense · devolo Home Network · Starlink

Cameras and security: Dahua · Imou Life · Axis · IP Webcam (Android)

Music, screens and notifications: Music Player Daemon · Volumio · Enigma2 · Hyperion · Elgato Light · LaMetric · AWTRIX 3 · Twilio (SMS and calls)

Garden, home and family: Rain Bird · Hunter Hydrawise · OpenSprinkler · PowerView (Hunter Douglas / Luxaflex) · Tractive · Steam · Epic Games Store · Fitbit · Prayer times

Weather and environment: Weather Underground · Sensor.Community · MeteoAlarm

All on SDK 0.15, in four languages. Where possible, I tested them in real life from my home: the UPS via apcupsd, real Sensor.Community data, MeteoAlarm, Epic Games and prayer times (compared to Aladhan), and for online services, the proper rejection of a fake account by the real server (which allowed to fix FoxESS and Blueair before release). The others were developed without the hardware: your feedback is welcome, in a new topic or on GitHub.

Still in progress tonight: Microsoft 365, Homematic CCU, Blue Iris, powerfox, Honeywell Lyric, Nintendo parental control, IPMA, SMHI, GeoSphere and Met Office. They will also have their recap here.

I’m launching tonight:

  • n°204 NETGEAR
  • n°205 Mercedez-Benz
  • n°276 BMW CarData
  • n°277 Anniversaries
  • n°324 BYD
  • n°358 WhatsApp (Meta official Cloud API)
  • n°369 Atmo France
  • n°385 Marées France

Last little pass of the night, then I stop: AEMET (Spain) and KNMI (Netherlands) to complete the neighbors’ weather, Big Ass Fans, OurGroceries, and TTLock (unlocking disabled by default, of course).

@mutmut @GBoulvin you were right: the MQTT Discovery (HA format) that I published today (gladys-mqtt-discovery) duplicates the core. Since Gladys 4.86 (August), Gladys’s MQTT integration handles Home Assistant format discovery itself: Integrations → MQTT → Discovery tab (@pierre-gilles’s PR).

It was still listed in the integrations to develop (P1 #110), and I didn’t notice when checking: a shared mistake between the list and me. I have therefore removed it from the store (it will disappear at the next indexer run) and its repository now redirects to the core.

  • If you had installed it: remove it, then import your devices from the Discovery tab of the MQTT integration.
  • @Will_71: the line « MQTT discovery (Home Assistant format) » can be removed from tracking. The lines I said were covered by it (BTHome, ESPSomfy RTS, OpenBeken, Valetudo, ebusd, OpenMQTTGateway / Theengs) are no longer handled by me: these devices announce themselves in HA discovery, so it’s the core’s MQTT integration that handles them, for the types it knows how to read.

The other nine integrations in the batch are not affected.

I’m also starting the development of OVHcloud SMS

ok I’ll take care of it tomorrow

Night batch on my side, always testable for real (recap here when they come out):

  • Technitium DNS Server: the self-hosted DNS server / ad blocker (statistics, blocking pause, DHCP), alongside Pi-hole and AdGuard Home
  • Netdata: monitoring of your machines (CPU, memory, disks, network) and especially its alarms as scene triggers
  • Lidarr: added to my Sonarr & Radarr integration (same family), for music

If anyone was already on it, let me know

And the end of the night: 15 more, all published (GitHub link for « Install from GitHub » while waiting for the indexer):

Official weather of neighbors: IPMA (Portugal) · AEMET (Spain) · KNMI (Netherlands) · GeoSphere (Austria) · SMHI (Sweden) · Met Office (United Kingdom)

Home and energy: Homematic CCU (RaspberryMatic, local) · Honeywell Home (Lyric) · powerfox · Big Ass Fans · TTLock

Family life: Microsoft 365 (Outlook calendar and To Do) · OurGroceries · Nintendo Switch parental controls

Cameras: Blue Iris

Tested in real life when possible: the real data from IPMA, SMHI, and GeoSphere, and the proper refusal of a fake account or a fake key by all online services (which allowed to fix OurGroceries before release). For TTLock, unlocking and pass-through mode are disabled by default and the lock is never a switch.

I’ll stop there for this time. Thanks for your feedback, in a new topic or on GitHub!

The nightly build is out:

Not yet tested in a real Gladys installation: your feedback is welcome.

Morning lot on my side, always testable for real (recap here when they come out):

  • Home Assistant (bridge): import and control entities from an existing Home Assistant instance, for a smooth migration or to run both side by side, in line with the Jeedom, Domoticz and Homey bridges by @lmilcent
  • Stocks and currencies: stock prices, indices, currencies and cryptos (Yahoo Finance), with threshold scenes
  • ZoneMinder: ZoneMinder cameras, alarms as triggers and mode changes from scenes

If someone was already on it, let me know

The morning batch is out:

Not yet tested in a real Gladys installation: your feedback is welcome.

Hello! I’m back for a small series of five (free ideas from the follow-up, recap here at the end): Motionblinds (and Brel, Bloc Blinds, Dooya), DoorBird (door opening disabled by default), Zaptec, Sony Audio (soundbars, locally), and Kostal Plenticore.

On my side, only OVHcloud SMS went live.

The other 8 that I launched last night didn’t go live. I had 2 session limit blocks…

We’re definitely too greedy :stuck_out_tongue:

Yes, with the Claude plan I have, eight at once is really too much. He didn’t like it. Now, I’m stuck until 1:00 p.m.
