Most popular Home Assistant integrations → candidates for Gladys external integrations

The thing is, I thought it would allow us to centralize feedback on the integration in question…
But thinking about it, if the feedback comes in 6 months… the person will probably create a new topic!

Yes, I agree with you that it was cool to create the topics, but well, I’m afraid it might drown out the information, and anyway now there’s a page on the site created by integration!

I can delete all the topics that were created and didn’t get any replies, that can help tidy things up! Whatever you prefer

I don’t have an opinion, whatever you prefer!

Last batch from my side for tonight (free ideas from the follow-up; Victron removed since @lmilcent is taking Victron GX):

  • NIBE myUplink: NIBE heat pumps, via the official API
  • Fronius Wattpilot: Fronius charging station, locally
  • Liebherr SmartDevice: fridges, freezers, and wine cellars, via the official API
  • OpenSprinkler: the open-source sprinkler controller
  • Mill: Mill radiators and purifiers
  • Imou Life: Imou cameras (Dahua consumer), via the official API
  • Enigma2: VU+, Dreambox… demodulators via OpenWebif
  • pfSense: firewall health, gateways, and presence
  • MeteoAlarm: official weather alerts from 38 European countries

And as agreed with Pierre-Gilles, one topic per integration: I’ll make a single recap here when they are released.

And one last thing for the night (free ideas for follow-up, recap here when they come out): Twilio (SMS and calls from a scene), Awair, Qingping, Blueair, and Winix (air quality and purifiers), PowerView (Hunter Douglas / Luxaflex blinds), Axis (cameras and intercoms), IP Webcam (an old Android phone as a camera), Fitbit, and Prayer Times.

Tonight’s batch on my side, still integrations that I can actually test (recap here when they come out):

  • Healthchecks: monitoring scheduled tasks (backups, cron…), healthchecks.io or self-hosted, with a scene when a task hasn’t run
  • Audiobookshelf: the audiobook and podcast server, current listening and new episodes
  • GDACS: global disaster alerts (earthquakes, cyclones, floods, volcanoes) around your home or loved ones, in open data

If anyone was already on it, let me know

The ten integrations announced above are published: they will arrive in the store at the next indexer run, and “Install from GitHub” already works. Instead of a thread per integration, here is the recap in one place:

  • MQTT Discovery (HA format) v0.1.2: everything that is announced in “HA discovery” on your broker (Tasmota, ESPHome, OpenBeken, Valetudo, ESPSomfy RTS, ebusd, EMS-ESP, OpenMQTTGateway / Theengs for Bluetooth sensors…) arrives in Discovery: sensors, switches, lamps, shutters, locks, thermostats, and remote controls as scene triggers.
  • IKEA DIRIGERA & TRÅDFRI v0.1.1: locally and in real time, lamps (brightness, temperature, color), plugs (with consumption for the INSPELNING), FYRTUR, KADRILJ and PRAKTLYSING blinds, the STARKVIND air purifier, VINDSTYRKA, PARASOLL, BADRING and VALLHORN sensors, and remote controls as scene triggers.
  • Legrand Home + Control v0.1.1: Céliane and dooxie with Netatmo via the official API: plugs, remote switches and contactors, switches and micromodules, dimmers, shutters, and the power of meters.
  • Jeedom (bridge) v0.1.1: each activated Jeedom device becomes a Gladys device according to its generic types (lights, plugs, shutters, gates, locks, thermostats, modes, sensors, meters), locally, to migrate smoothly or keep both.
  • Victron Energy GX v0.1.1: battery, solar MPPT, inverter/charger, grid meter, PV inverter and charger of a Cerbo GX in local MQTT, directly in the energy dashboards, with the control of the inverter mode and the ESS reserve.
  • rtl_433 v0.1.1: with a 25 € SDR key and rtl_433, weather stations, thermometers, OWL meters, door contacts, motion, smoke and leak detectors and 433/868 MHz remote controls arrive in Discovery, via MQTT or the rtl_433 HTTP server.
  • RFXCOM RFXtrx v0.1.1: the RFXtrx433/433XL exposed on the network by ser2net: Oregon probes and OWL meters, Chacon DiO remote controls as triggers, DiO plugs and modules, Somfy RTS shutters (with pairing from Gladys).
  • deCONZ / Phoscon v0.1.1: Zigbee devices from a ConBee or a RaspBee, locally: lamps, plugs, shutters, thermostatic heads, sensors (temperature, opening, movement, leak, smoke, energy…) and remote controls as scene triggers.
  • Micronova Agua IOT v0.1.1: pellet stoves from 35 applications (MyPiazzetta, Total Control 3.0, Jolly Mec, Ravelli, Fonte Flamme, MCZ’s Easy Connect…) : on/off, setpoint, power, temperatures, status, and the stove alarm as a trigger.
  • Ondilo ICO v0.1.1: water temperature, pH, redox, salt or TDS, battery and current recommendations of your pools and spas, with a “new recommendation” trigger, via the official Ondilo API.

All on SDK 0.15, in French and English, including documentation. They were developed without the hardware (MQTT Discovery, rtl_433 and the Jeedom bridge have nevertheless run against the real software: Mosquitto broker, rtl_433 in container, Jeedom): your feedback is welcome in the GitHub issues of each repository (LM1LC3N7 (Louis MILCENT) · GitHub, gladys-… repositories), or here.

It has become your full-time job

I can’t believe it, there’ll definitely be another round of 10:joy:

And you know what? We work for free and we’re even happy to do it and to be responsible for it!

But how do we know which is the GitHub link for each of them?

If you search for @lmilcent’s account on GitHub, you’ll see a list of all their repositories. Pick one, copy the link, and install it.

So, as « Install from GitHub » is for those in a hurry who don’t want to wait for the store release (like me ^^) you just need to go to lmilicent’s repo

The batch for tonight is out (no more topics by integration, as agreed: everything is here, and each has its own page in the store):

None of these have yet run in a real Gladys installation: your feedback is welcome.

I finally figured out how to automate the creation of GitHub repos + forum posts and verification to avoid duplicates.

I can now process them 10 at a time, as long as I have tokens left!

As discussed with @guim31 and @pierre-gilles, I won’t post a topic for each integration to avoid spamming the forum. So, you’ll need to create a topic for each module if there are any changes or requests, which is more work for all of you, but it’s less cluttered.

I’ll take « Afvalbeheer » - Waste Collection, Garmin Connect, SolarEdge (ModBus) and OpenPlantbook

I have ten new integrations still available (checked this evening in the tracking of @Will_71, in this thread, in the Development threads, and on GitHub). This time, each name links to its GitHub repository:

  • Domoticz (bridge) (P3 n° 808): Import devices from an existing Domoticz (switches, dimmers, shutters, thermostats, sensors, meters) via its JSON API, for a smooth migration or to run both side by side.
  • Fibaro and Nice Yubii Home (P2 n° 333): Z-Wave modules from a Home Center 2/3 or a Yubii Home, locally: lights, outlets, shutters, thermostats, and sensors, with buttons as scene triggers.
  • Homey Pro (bridge) (P3 n° 814): Devices from a Homey Pro via its local API (API key), updated in real-time.
  • eedomus (bridge) (P3 n° 802): Devices from the French eedomus box (lights, shutters, heating, sensors, meters) via its local API.
  • Radio wM-Bus meters (wmbusmeters) (P2 n° 420): 868 MHz radio water, heat, and gas meters (Itron, Diehl, Kamstrup, Sensus…) read by wmbusmeters, via MQTT.
  • Panasonic Aquarea (P3 n° 441): Aquarea heat pumps, via Aquarea Smart Cloud or a local HeishaMon: temperatures, heating and hot water setpoints, modes, energy, and errors.
  • Toshiba AC (P3 n° 445): Toshiba air conditioners from the Toshiba Home AC Control app: on/off, mode, setpoint, ventilation, and temperatures.
  • MCZ Maestro (P2 n° 383): MCZ pellet stoves in Maestro technology: on/off, setpoint, power, ventilation, status, and alarms.
  • Sure Petcare (P2 n° 249): SureFlap cat flaps, SureFeed feeders, and Felaqua fountains: the animal inside or outside, cat flap locking, food and water, with scenes when the cat goes out or comes back.
  • Marstek (P2 n° 248): Marstek Venus home batteries via their local API: charge, battery, solar, and grid power, energy, and operating mode.

All on SDK 0.15, in French and English. No topic per integration: a single summary here when they are released, with the link to each repository. Testers are welcome, especially for Fibaro/Yubii, Homey, eedomus, Aquarea, Toshiba, MCZ stoves, and Sure Petcare!

@StephaneB: For the previous batch, here are the repositories: MQTT Discovery, IKEA, Legrand Home + Control, Jeedom, Victron GX, rtl_433, RFXtrx, deCONZ, Agua IOT, and Ondilo.

And at the same time, it gives much less visibility…

And I’m still reserving these for tonight: Microsoft 365 (Outlook calendar and To Do), Homematic CCU (RaspberryMatic, local), Blue Iris, powerfox, Honeywell Home (Lyric), Nintendo Switch parental controls, and the official weather from our neighbors: IPMA (Portugal), SMHI (Sweden), GeoSphere (Austria) and Met Office (United Kingdom). (@lmilcent, I’m leaving Fibaro for you, which you already have on GitHub.)
