Hello. Like last time, update and crash. I lose everything. I copy back the var folder but it doesn’t change anything. On startup I see my login page for a quarter of a second then it returns me to the complete house-creation screen. I’m stuck. I can’t rely on my backups every time there’s an update. Last time I deleted everything including the VM and reinstalled everything (well, the little I put in it, since I’m not ready to spend hours on it if I can’t rely on my backups) and it was still a mess. I have the impression I’m the only one, yet there is nothing special, supposedly, about my install. An SSD in my Delta box. A Debian VM, Docker, Gladys, z2mqtt. And three little things to get familiar with. Everything works fine until I update.
Hello @canaille17,
This looks like a Docker volume issue.
In my opinion, Gladys is started with a modified command that doesn’t properly set up the volume. As a result, when the container is removed and recreated, the data isn’t preserved and Gladys starts from scratch.
I recommend checking the installation and using the official command to make sure the persistent volume is properly configured:
I was able to restart, but my scenes and all the customization were wiped; I only recovered the peripherals on z2mqtt. I’m going to keep trying, back everything up, delete everything and reinstall. Thanks. PS, I sent you an email… thanks
