The reset is fine unless you wanted Matter devices to be removed as well.
Indeed, it does reset Matter, but the devices are still present in Matter > Devices
PS: Don’t forget to remove debug mode before going to production 
It’s normal! We don’t delete devices created in Gladys because they contain historical data and are potentially linked to scenes.

We indeed need people to test the matter update with the following image because there are compatibility issues between the current version of matter used by Gladys and the openthread border router, which are resolved by updating matter on Gladys:
gladysassistant/gladys:upgrade-matter-latest

I don’t know if @prohand’s message is clear enough, but for now my focus is entirely on Matter. There’s already so much to do with Matter alone, that’s the real home automation revolution!
For creating a Thread gateway, it’s not a priority for me at the moment. There are already excellent solutions on the market, developed by professionals and very stable. It’s a real profession in its own right! But if someone wants to offer their time, I’m always open to it
