So, I’m making a request that might have an impact on the core of Gladys, or maybe not! ![]()
I would like it to be possible for external integrations to access more graphical elements already available in Gladys, in order to offer more pleasant and intuitive interfaces.
Here are a few examples of what I would like to be able to use in integrations:
Icons: being able to access Gladys’ icon library and select them directly when configuring an integration.
- Slider-type buttons: being able to offer commands in this form, as in the image, rather than being limited to classic buttons.
- Text-based states: being able to display information and states clearly and legibly, as in the example below.
- More elaborate displays: allowing integrations to offer more aesthetic and functional graphical elements, as in the last example.
The idea is not for each integration developer to recreate their own graphical elements, but rather to be able to reuse Gladys’ visual components in external integrations, while maintaining a consistent presentation with the rest of the interface.
I don’t know to what extent this would require major modifications to the core of Gladys, nor if all of this is technically possible. But I think it would be a real plus to enrich integrations and offer more intuitive interfaces to users.
Thanks!
