Introduction BooyakaXII - Beginner but curious!

Hi everyone,

I’m now in the world of Gladys! I’ve been following the project for several years through the Newsletter and I think it’s awesome!

Always interested in technology, I like DIY projects that are accessible to everyone (I’m terrible at programming, so I can’t help you on that point…).
Last year I set up an OMV NAS (OpenMediaVault NAS) with Plex for storing our data and as a media center. Having discovered Docker I installed Gladys using that tool.

Now all that’s left is to add components to the installation. I currently only have two Hue bulbs :slight_smile:

At first the goal would be to manage lighting, presence detection, and, if possible, the roller shutters (but I understand that’s not so simple yet), and the wood stove via a thermostat and a dry contact.
We’ll then see about playing around with other devices.

Hi,

personally, no issues with Zigbee roller shutters.

And there are other people who have installed them too; you need to search the forum.

I hadn’t thought about changing the switches, I was looking for modules to add to my existing switches. Thanks :wink:
