Sorry!!! You were one of the first to test!! I admit it’s taking a long time. But anyway it’s not ready to go to prod. We’re in the process of starting a new clean PR. But it’s going to take a little time and I think the review will be even longer… not to mention the fixes to apply afterwards ^^
Maybe before summer? Considering that, for once, several of us have the gear and the PR (pull request) is well advanced.
I hope so!! With a bit of help ^^
Let’s say, as we saw with @damalgos in PM, we need to go all-in on porting the entire sensor side and forget the control part. And we’ll release it like that for the moment.
- For my part I won’t use it for all my sensors as long as the keep_history issue isn’t fully settled and released, because I did a test with all my Netatmo gear keeping all the history that’s interesting to keep but including the multiple unnecessary data (20.0, 20.0, 20.0, …) and I end up with 5 GB in 1 month ^^
- For the heating part, as already explained, I’m forced to control a 2nd Netatmo PLUG so I’ll absolutely need the command!! But to see with the dev of the new PR, this could translate to a NAPlug device with a binary feature and a scene to control it (as a switch).
In short, super motivated to get it out before summer!!^^
@Terdious yes I’m managing on that side but thanks for the info ![]()
Hi @Terdious,
I just tested your latest image.
I had already seen this in my first test but it might be useful for the user to see a spinning icon, or a confirmation saying that the service successfully connected without needing to refresh the page
Because currently I’m forced to change tabs and come back to the settings tab to get the confirmation, or to refresh the page.
If I don’t do that nothing happens and it’s a bit confusing because you end up waiting.
I’m on your 04/05/2022 image but I don’t have what you just pushed for the API selection
And my thermostat isn’t showing
Do you have any idea why?
Hi @_Will_71,
Yes indeed, that was the case before, but since I added the new settings page I have this problem and I still can’t find out why… websockets remain a mystery to me; when it works it’s great but then why does it stop working?? ^^
Mmmmh my bad, I had only tested with my built DB and not with a new DB. Indeed I have the same issue, I’ll change it… actually better yet, since I’m preparing the PR, I’ll let you know as soon as it’s ready!!
Ok, that works ![]()
Hi @Terdious, have you planned to include in this version or the next the identification of the person when they are detected? id_personne
Hi @Tlse-vins,
So, to make the PR easier to review, we’ll release the different APIs gradually, starting first with just (or almost) the data/events already handled by Gladys. Namely:
- PR1 : Netatmo Energy + preparation of the other APIs so as not to break the structure with the following PRs - Valves/Thermostats and associated features: Current temperature, Target temperature (setpoint), Setpoint mode, Manual setpoint duration, Heating demand, Battery, Reachable
- PR2 : Netatmo Home + Security - Cameras/Sirens/Contact sensors (door/window)/Smoke/Carbon monoxide detectors and associated features.
- PR3 : Netatmo Weather Station + Aircare,
- PR4 : Commands for Netatmo Energy + Webhook management via Gladys Plus - Heating management specifications to be validated beforehand,
- PR5 : Commands for Netatmo Home + Security + Webhook management via Gladys Plus - Specifications for camera event management to be validated beforehand - notably the recognition of people validated in Netatmo,
- Following PRs to be defined …
As @Terdious says, this will be done in several stages because the code review is going to be brutal ( +16,000 lines approximately ) and we don’t want @pierre-gilles to cry blood ![]()
Yes, I suspected as much, it’s a big integration that’s been expected for a loooong time!!
FYI, I’ve made good progress on PR1, I just have the front-end handling to recheck and split, then the websockets handling… which mystifies me… ^^ it shouldn’t be long to be released if I can get it sorted out ^^
We’ll take things calmly!!^^
@Tlse-vins, if you want an image alongside, that would be useful to me too, I can work on it. That would allow us to define and think a bit about the rendering, how we want/can present it. Since I got a Gladys Plus for my Gladys Netatmo, I can see the webhooks at the same time!!
It’s possible, I have a Respeaker where I can put an image of Gladys for the integration and test.
But I only have the indoor camera left.
Yes, that’s perfect — it will be for preparing events based on face detection. How to present the people registered on the indoor camera, associate them with a Gladys user and thus manage presence that way. And then how to handle events for people who are not users, and perhaps separately unrecognized people / animals / vehicles / movements so that an image can be sent via a scene. In short, quite a big project too ^^
Hello,
@Terdious: Congratulations on the work done, great! Awesome, as they say ![]()
If you need a tester, let me know.
Netatmo configuration : weather : base station + outdoor + rain gauge
Kind regards
Phil
Hello,
I am very interested in this « Netatmo Service ».
I have a Bticino 300.
But I don’t see how to integrate this service! ![]()
Can someone shed some light on this for me?
Thanks
Hi Doudy,
The service is being developed by @Terdious, so it is not yet available in Gladys.
Thank you very much
Hello @Terdious,
Do you have any news about the service? I bought an outdoor camera with sirens, and I’d really like to integrate it all into gladys ^^
My goal is to restart from December or January. Very clearly I need to start from scratch… unfortunately, and I’ll do it feature by feature as Pierre-Gilles advised me.
Etape 1 : valves and thermostats
Etape 2 : cameras
Etape 3 : weather station
Etape 4 : HomeCoach
Etape 5 : Legrand Ecocompteurs
Etape 6 : Bticino door intercom (but apparently there’s not much on it at the moment)
I’ll keep you posted as I make progress
