Hi everyone!
My FRITZ!Box integration handles the network (internet, guest Wi-Fi, presence, calls), but left out the entire DECT home automation part of the box. Since it’s one of the most requested integrations from Pierre-Gilles’ list, here’s FRITZ!SmartHome: FRITZ!DECT plugs, thermostatic heads, shutters, lamps, and buttons from AVM in Gladys, locally.
What it does
- FRITZ!DECT 200 / 210 plugs: on/off, power, energy, voltage, temperature.
- FRITZ!DECT 301 / 302 thermostatic heads and Comet DECT: setpoint (bounded from 8 to 28 °C), heating or off, open window, boost, temperature, battery.
- Rollotron shutters: position, open, stop, close.
- FRITZ!DECT 500 lamps: on/off, brightness, color.
- HAN-FUN detectors (opening, smoke, motion, water leak) and FRITZ!DECT 400 / 440 buttons.
- A widget « FRITZ!SmartHome »: plug power, heating heads, open windows.
- Triggers: button pressed (which key, short or long press), open window detected, low battery. And an action to set a head to comfort, eco, boost, or « open window » for a duration.
The cool part
Short press on the bathroom button → 30-minute boost on the radiator
Window contact open → « open window » mode for 20 minutes
Low battery → message with the device name
Installation
Gladys 5.1 minimum.
It will be available in the store at the next indexer run. In the meantime: Integrations → Install from GitHub, with the address https://github.com/guim31/gladys-fritz-smarthome
- In the FRITZ!Box, create a user with the right « Smart Home ».
- In Gladys: the user, the password, and preferably the box address (automatic search also works, but specifying the address is safer).
- Test the connection, then add the devices from the Discovery tab.
Honest caveat: it was developed without the hardware, based on real box responses published by open-source projects and AVM’s official examples, against a simulated box in Gladys’ sandbox conditions. The long press of the FRITZ!DECT 400 in particular remains to be confirmed. Button presses are seen at the next read (default 30 s, adjustable), groups and box models are not supported, and the weekly program is still set in the box. It complements the FRITZ!Box integration without replacing it.
