Analysis: Prioritization of developments: Core / integrations?

I tested with Node-RED but without success.
And it still went through another system!

Yes, that’s for sure, but for me, while waiting for the integration I use my older (and more recent) devices on 433 MHz. Dashticz, isn’t that a kind of Node-RED?

Dashticz is an alternative « Dashboard » for Domoticz.
Dashticz is capable of displaying (almost) all information from Domoticz.
In addition to that, it is possible to display information from all kinds of other sources.

It « simply » uses the Domoticz database to display the data!

ah, okay?
thanks :slightly_smiling_face:

Hello,
I didn’t switch to Gladys because Somfy protocols are not supported.
Regards
Christophe

Hi, I currently control my two roller shutters (VR) using the Somfy protocol with an ESP8266 module and MQTT via Node-RED. It works pretty well.

Hello, I’m replying to this comment because I also have a Homey for a few years and I have a very annoying limitation with Zigbee. I installed Home Assistant but I don’t find it easy (especially on a Synology NAS with DSM7 :frowning: ). I’m looking into increasing this limitation using zigbee2mqtt with Gladys on a Raspberry that already has an MQTT broker installed on my NAS. It’s under consideration… but I think Gladys can be complementary to the Homey — I’m thinking in particular about using Bluetooth devices via MQTT as well in the future if possible, since the Homey is also limited on that protocol.

Good evening,
My shutters are equipped with the RTS and IO protocols.
My Velux shutters are IO.
Can you control them with Gladys?
Kind regards,

Hello @Phil,

What do you need to stop using Domoticz and be 100% Gladys?

I’ve been on Domoticz for 8 years (mainly RFX433) and I’m slowly migrating to Gladys with Zigbee 3.0 devices.
The drawback: 2 Raspberry Pis running!
However, I integrated some devices into Gladys by using the Domoticz API.
I made a note to keep track; you’ll find it at the following link to my Yunohost server, if it helps.

I’m in the same situation as kazuke.
Domoticz + RFX433 have been working for several years.
I’m not migrating to Gladys yet but I’m mainly testing Zigbee.
I tried kazuke’s link but « This site is inaccessible » !

Oops, sorry. There was a power cut to my modem

Great @kazuke! Feel free to post this little tutorial on the forum, we have a category Tutoriels - Gladys Assistant community that’s made for that, so it’s indexed and can help people who might be searching the forum

Thanks PG. You were the one who guided me in response to one of my previous posts.

Hello !

  • For my part, I wasn’t able to set up a working dev environment by following the documentation (tested on my machine running Windows 10, on RPI3 and RPI4).
I admit a helping hand would be welcome (video? additional documentation: where to find the logs in case of a problem, how to verify that the dev environment is working correctly, etc…).

  • +1 for Sonos

@glasserre @pierre-gilles
same situation as glasserre regarding the installation of the development environment that I already mentioned (I’m on Windows 11 with WSL2 and Ubuntu 20.04 in WSL)
I’m also only asking for that: to participate in the dev work…

@glasserre @Einstein8854,

A bit more info about your issues (logs, errors encountered, etc.) would be a big help in assisting you

Thanks Spenceur, I should dive back into it and find the forum threads (that was a few months ago). I’ll ping you on the topic in a few days
