You should make a request to identify the device and the device type
No, in the request
Oh yeah, indeed!
But I don’t understand the point… Why don’t you just call the create function?
And there’s already a function called createByDeviceTypeIdentifier ![]()
Damn, that’s true… I hadn’t seen it. I’ll test it as soon as possible. Thanks
Hello, can we see the Dashboard on iPhone 5s? Thank you.
Hello @alain33
As specified in the title, this is an Android app. It is not available for iOS, but it is planned!
Hello,
Just to report two small bugs:
- When I switch networks (WiFi to/from mobile), the app crashes systematically on the next opening.
- When you create a device and then delete it, it remains in the app’s memory, which quickly leads to duplicates. Is it possible to flush it?
Hello!
Hmm, I don’t think that has happened to me, but I’ll look into it, thanks for the info!
Well yes, that’s normal and it has been mentioned before!
The sync (as I implemented it) is not two-way, but it will be fixed in the next update! ![]()
Hello,
I tried to install the application on my phone, it worked but every time I launch it, it crashes my phone and I can’t uninstall it.
Does anyone have any idea?
Maybe it’s because of my Android version?
Hello @Adrien
Could you be more specific?
You can’t uninstall it? Why?
Which version are you on?
What smartphone?
Give us more information if you want us to help you ^^
Have you tried re-downloading it?
What is your configuration?
Have you enabled unknown sources?
When I click on the application to launch it, it says « gladys your home assistant » and then a black screen and that’s it.
For the uninstall part, I go to the settings and when I click to uninstall the application, black screen and that’s it.
And as for the phone, I have a OnePlus 5 with Android 8.0.0 with an OxygenOS 5.0.2 layer.
I hope this problem can help you advance on your project and allow me to use this application that looks really great.
Hello everyone,
For information, I have exactly the same problem as @Adrien: same laptop, same configuration, same symptoms. I fear that it is therefore linked to the device or its configuration.
I haven’t had much time to look into it yet. As soon as I do, I will provide some information.

Hi!
@Bartabac
That’s weird though ![]()
I just downloaded the apk and had no issues.. Did you try activating unknown sources before attempting the install?
Your problem is indeed related to the fact that you are on Android 8 (probably already on API 27). I made a mistake with the app icon, without going into technical details during its construction, the system calls the same icon in a loop when the app starts, which creates an overload and therefore a stop of the app by Android and this behavior only exists on Android 8!
The fix is supposed to be released in the next app update, but I’m a bit overloaded at the moment ![]()
I’ll try to deploy a build of the Apk file at least so you can use it this weekend ![]()
Great, you handle it.
Thanks @LepetitGeek
I had the same problem once, it’s because the download wasn’t correct (I probably didn’t click in the right place…)
So I simply re-downloaded the apk file and that solved the problem (use the link from the first post, then click on « GladysBetaV1.4.5.apk » then click on the « download » button)
It’s good, it’s launching perfectly, thank you ![]()
@LepetitGeek
Nice…
Hello @NathanM!
And thank you ![]()
So I’m right in the middle of it and I’ve made quite a few changes to the repo but I haven’t updated the topic yet ^^
In the meantime, the apk is available in the « release » tab, otherwise, if you can’t find it, a link is available a few comments above ![]()
