Valid trigger condition for X seconds

How do I set it to 10 seconds?

You can put 0.6 min, it’s tenths or hundredths of a minute.

So more like 0.166?

Thanks, I put 0.1 to get 10 s.
However, there’s a bug if I put 0.12 it shows me « 7199.9999999 Â» ?!

That would deserve an addition of units, I think, right?

seconds - minutes - hours - days (?)

So we don’t juggle with calculations

oops you’re right, I got it all backwards :frowning:

Hi @Chris75, which motion sensor (brand) are you using?

Most sensors already have an internal delay that counts in minutes, so I don’t think you can really get the behavior you’re looking for

If you uncheck this box, you’ll probably still have one or several minutes of waiting before the sensor considers that there’s no more movement.

And beyond that, I’m not sure it’s pleasant to use: motion sensors, by definition
detect movements. A delay that’s too short quickly becomes annoying, as the light might turn off while you’re still in the room (if that’s the intended goal).

Tell us more about your needs

So I’m using the motion sensor you recommend in your videos and which is great: the aqara P1.

I set it up in z2m to trigger after 2 seconds!

I use it in a scene for an OFF trigger after 12 seconds: 2 seconds for the trigger and 10 seconds of waiting: and it works very well and is very pleasant! The room where I use it is the pantry

I did the same for a presence sensor and I’m glad I can set seconds

Proposition:

Backward compatibility is ensured for existing scenes!

This will be included in the next version of Gladys

That’s perfect! Thanks

It’s available in Gladys Assistant 4.83:
