How do I set it to 10 seconds?
You can put 0.6 min, itâs tenths or hundredths of a minute.
So more like 0.166?
That would deserve an addition of units, I think, right?
seconds - minutes - hours - days (?)
So we donât juggle with calculations
oops youâre right, I got it all backwards ![]()
Hi @Chris75, which motion sensor (brand) are you using?
Most sensors already have an internal delay that counts in minutes, so I donât think you can really get the behavior youâre looking for ![]()
If you uncheck this box, youâll probably still have one or several minutes of waiting before the sensor considers that thereâs no more movement.
And beyond that, Iâm not sure itâs pleasant to use: motion sensors, by definition⊠detect movements. A delay thatâs too short quickly becomes annoying, as the light might turn off while youâre still in the room (if thatâs the intended goal).
Tell us more about your needs ![]()
So Iâm using the motion sensor you recommend in your videos and which is great: the aqara P1.
I set it up in z2m to trigger after 2 seconds!
I use it in a scene for an OFF trigger after 12 seconds: 2 seconds for the trigger and 10 seconds of waiting: and it works very well and is very pleasant! The room where I use it is the pantry
I did the same for a presence sensor and Iâm glad I can set seconds
Thatâs perfect! Thanks
Itâs available in Gladys Assistant 4.83:
