Development progress!
On tablet, it’s ultra pleasant:
With several new widgets:
The dashboard selector no longer requires 2 clicks but a single click, unless you have many scenes, the following scenes are accessible via a « … » that appears at the end on small screens:
The edit screen has also been completely revised:
It’s also very pleasant on mobile:
Well… I have to admit I’m surprised! ![]()
I’ve long thought that the UI was intentionally frozen, so I never really asked for any changes in that area.
I have to admit these renders really please me A LOT! (a bit too Apple-like for my taste
but I’m nitpicking).
If my Gladys looked like this, I’d be a huge fan!!!

Would it be possible to have a widget on 1, 2, or 3 columns if I understand correctly?
The visual is not contractual @guim31 ![]()
It’s literally the title of the request ![]()
Totally contractual, the implementation is real, and tested. You can even test it—it’s already live in the branch, and there’s even a Docker image ![]()
Yeah, well, okay, I had a long day and my second one just started ![]()
And I can guess it’s not your images ^^ It’s refreshing, this new interface
Fable completely overhauled drag & drop by removing react-dnd and implementing it natively in the browser, and it’s amazing ![]()
Oh my god, this insane teasing ![]()
The next release is going to be insane! I’m a fan of the new theme and the possibilities that are coming! Can’t wait ![]()
We can say that this new design is a killer ![]()
When do we take a day off to play with the future 100 innovations?? ![]()
I’ve made a lot of progress and it’s just crazy what Fable has proposed for me ![]()
The new dashboard:
There are a lot of nice little details that are just amazing to use.
The dashboard is now divided into « Sections », and each section contains one or more columns.
Dashboard editing has been completely redesigned:
If I click on « Settings »:
To edit a widget, I can click on its gear icon:
I find this new design really refreshing and very pleasant to use.
On mobile, it’s also very well optimized:
Can’t wait to put all this into production!!
Can’t wait to have this kind of dashboard on my tablet ![]()
It looks nice and it’s very salesy but isn’t it very ineffective? Some widgets are huge for not much. ![]()
Another point, it’s going to clash a lot with the rest of the UI, are you also planning a redesign in the same style?
Dumb question but how can we see the demo build on Cloudflare? It asks for credentials when I open the link, I imagine they’re dev credentials? But which ones?
Perhaps it will be possible to have widgets with multiple sizes: for example, for the weather, a version with just the day’s weather and a larger one with the forecast
Very nice design ![]()
Is there an option to place the menu bar at the top instead of on the left?
Those are the Gladys Plus credentials
What about dark mode? ![]()
PG showed it earlier in the discussion.
@pierre-gilles, I couldn’t wait and just tested the latest commits you published.
I have a comment about the dashboard width.
On my display, the width in Edit mode and in normal mode are not the same.
Normal mode is narrower, so the widgets are cramped and it’s not great.
Here are some images:
Dashboard in normal mode, the widgets are not wide enough and the 4th column widget is too tall
In Edit mode: The display is correct
For info, I get the same result if I only have 3 columns.
Another point: I saw that you added the ability to add an icon for the dashboard names.
If we want to remove them, how do we do that?
