I’m not really sure if it’s still relevant, but since I didn’t feel like working this morning, I opened Photoshop…
hello,
on the network subject, for me after a long phase of « waiting » since the last Gladys update, my network finally appeared in the integration.
it’s great.
one small remark however, on the devices’ descriptive « fiches » there is a small spelling mistake, minor but visible: « construteur » instead of « constructeur »
small additional question: are devices connected to the network via powerline adapters (CPL) visible/will they be visible (I intend to install powerline adapters (CPL) for electrically powered objects that are out of Wi-Fi or Zigbee range)
is LAN visibility/is LAN visibility only for the « presence » feature
Thanks @AlexTrovato for the PRs!
I’ve approved and merged the two PRs related to LAN Manager: the timeout/stop + disabling scans of overly large CIDRs.
For PR #1749: Align sensor display name (LANManager feedbacks) by atrovato · Pull Request #1749 · GladysAssistant/Gladys · GitHub
I realize this is a very impactful change for all current users of all integrations; it deserves a bit more feedback. I’m thinking of all the Zigbee sensors — currently, if a user has properly configured the name of each sensor, there will be an overnight complete change to your dashboard.
Can you create a dedicated thread on the forum with clear instructions for testing and ask for screenshots of dashboards in before/after mode? Don’t necessarily mention LAN Manager; the idea here is precisely to see the side effects outside of LAN Manager.
No worries, I was right to separate the features into different PRs ![]()
We made that change when we were talking about ‹ complex devices › but I notice we hadn’t made any changes to the sensors…
Let’s go for a poll ![]()
The 2 PRs (Timeout / Stop / Loading bar / disabling overly broad CIDRs ) have been included in Gladys Assistant v4.21.2 !
A call to the community — don’t hesitate to modify or add anything if I’ve missed a point:
Hi everyone!
This feature has been available since Gladys Assistant 4.21:
And the latest thread about sensor names on the dashboard has been available since Gladys Assistant 4.23:
I’m closing this thread to free up the votes!
In case of bugs / feedback / improvements, I suggest opening a new thread ![]()
Thanks to @AlexTrovato for all the work done
