Gladys Assistant v4.22/v4.21: LAN Manager, Enedis, and OpenWeather integration đŸŒ€ïž

Hello everyone,

There have been several Gladys updates over the past weeks, and in the excitement I didn’t even post a message on the forum

So here’s a short recap post of the latest news!

LAN Manager Integration

New integration, developed by @AlexTrovato who is on fire right now :fire:

This integration lets you scan your network to find devices (for example: your phone). Then, following the same model as the Bluetooth integration, you can set yourself as « Present/Absent Â» in the house in a scene.

The integration is still in its « shakedown Â» phase, every network is different and we’re still discovering small fixes to correct. Feel free to give feedback on the forum if you have any

Enedis Integration

Following the private beta, I received a lot of feedback, which I fixed in numerous PRs.

If you want to visualize your electricity consumption in Gladys, you can follow this tutorial:

OpenWeather Integration Fixed

The OpenWeather integration now works with the new API keys

OpenWeather changed the rules of its API and our integration was using an API route that was no longer available in the free API.

I modified the integration to switch to other free routes (endpoints)!

New action in scenes

@Romuald_Pochet worked on the possibility to « invert Â» lamps/outlets in scenes, which will greatly reduce the number of scenes!

Dashboard display improvements

On the dashboard, some colors were not « logical Â».

If you have a water leak, « Yes Â» should not be green but red: a leak is serious! :stuck_out_tongue:

If your electricity consumption decreases, the down arrow should be green, not red (that’s positive!)

If some device types are missing, feel free to post a message and we’ll change that

Ongoing work

There are a lot of projects in progress :stuck_out_tongue:

  • @AlexTrovato is working on improving the Zigbee2mqtt integration during initial setup, with a new interface. He showed me, it’s really neat :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:
  • The much-awaited camera live stream is coming soon!
  • Quite a few new integrations in progress (NextcloudTalk, Yeelight which is looking for testers, ZwaveJS which is also looking for testers )
  • The ability to perform mathematical calculations in scenes
  • And many more

Changelog

The last 4 Gladys versions since my last message:

How to update?

If you installed Gladys with the official Raspberry Pi OS image, your instances will update automatically within the next few hours. This can take up to 24h, don’t panic.

If you installed Gladys with Docker, check that you are using Watchtower ( See the documentation )

Excellent job!
Glad to see the follow-through on this project!

Just a note, it might be worth specifying that the system for monitoring electricity consumption with your « Enedis Â» system does not apply to people outside of France.
For you in France, it seems obvious. For us Belgians, Swiss, Canadians, etc., it’s less obvious :upside_down_face: I had never heard of this system before discovering it on the forum.

Hello,
This is also the case in some cities such as Strasbourg where the network is managed by Ă©s (ElectricitĂ© de Strasbourg). I started to open an account but couldn’t create it.
