As mentioned during the live stream for the Matter integration launch, I am convinced that Matterbridge will play a key role in the future of Gladys. This component will allow those who own somewhat exotic devices to quickly develop small plugins to make them Matter-compatible… and therefore directly integrable into Gladys!
I would like to democratize and simplify Matter plugin development.
The starting point is this repo:
I quickly set up a dev environment, and honestly, it’s smooth and accessible. You can create a functional plugin in just a few minutes.
I plan to shoot a short YouTube video soon to guide you step by step.
