Hue Light Group

Hello everyone,
Great job already for v4, it has come a long way since my last try with Gladys 3.

I’ve been looking without an answer so far on the forum, but do you know if there is a way to group lights? Or maybe to use the Hue zones?
I have a ceiling light with 6 Hue bulbs and I don’t see how I could turn everything on at the same time, except by turning on the room on the dashboard.

And even on the dashboard, it makes a lot of options for the same room per bulb ^^

At the same time, what is Gladys’s position on a room-by-room view?

(I intentionally enlarged the box on the home screen)

Hi @AlexG, thanks for your feedback!

Well, it doesn’t exist yet, indeed, for now the best solution is to create a room for each « group » you want (you can create fake rooms if needed), and then turn on the room.

Another solution is to create a « fake device » by creating a device in the MQTT integration (a lamp).

Then you create a scene that when this device is turned on, you turn on the lights you want, and when the device is turned off, you turn off the lights you want

Better than a room-by-room view, we aim to have multiple dashboards, to be able to separate different dashboards.

If you want to see this feature in Gladys, don’t hesitate to vote for the feature here:

Thanks for the responses,
Indeed, I hadn’t thought of making a dedicated part.

Have a nice day,
Alexandre
