Hello,

Here is an external integration for Hikvision IP cameras and recorders (NVR / DVR), which will soon be available on the store:

Everything works locally: Gladys talks directly to the devices, without a Hik-Connect account, without the cloud, and without opening anything on the box.

What it brings

  • the image of each camera in Gladys, refreshed regularly or on demand
  • real-time detections: motion, line crossing, intrusion, tampering
  • a switch per detection to arm/disarm directly on the camera
  • alarm inputs and outputs (door contacts, siren, relay)
  • PTZ: camera movement and return to presets
  • a badge on each device to see if it responds

A recorder brings all its cameras: just one address to enter. You can also add multiple devices, separated by commas.

Scenes

Triggers:

  • a camera detects something (filter possible by camera, event type, person or vehicle)
  • a camera disconnects / comes back online

Actions:

  • take a picture (useful just before « Send a camera image »)
  • arm or disarm a detection
  • send a PTZ camera to a preset

For example: intrusion of a person in the garden + person at home → photo → send on Telegram → siren.

Widget

A widget for the dashboard with online cameras, the number of detections over 24 hours, the image of a camera, the last detection of each camera, and buttons Snapshot / Disarm / Arm.

Setup

  1. Gladys 5.1 minimum
  2. On the camera or NVR, create a dedicated user with the Operator role
  3. Check that ISAPI is enabled (Network > Advanced Settings > Integration Protocol)
  4. In Gladys, enter the IP address, username, and password
  5. Click on « Test connection »: a line per device tells you what works or what needs to be corrected
  6. Create the cameras from the Discovery tab

Warning: Hikvision locks the account after a few incorrect passwords. The integration will never try a rejected password alone: you need to correct it and then save the configuration.

If no detection arrives, check on the camera that « Notify the monitoring center » is well checked in the actions related to the detection.
