External integration - Somfy Protect

Hello everyone :waving_hand:

I present to you a new external integration for Gladys: Somfy Protect.

It connects your Somfy Protect alarm (Link, Somfy One / One+, cameras, detectors, IntelliTag, badges, smoke detectors, sirens…) to Gladys.

What it does

One device per alarm (site)

  • Security level modifiable from Gladys: disabled, partial, total
  • « Alarm in progress Â» status

One device per Somfy equipment

  • Motion detector: motion, battery, temperature
  • IntelliTag: detection, battery
  • Badge: presence (at home / absent)
  • Smoke detector: smoke, battery
  • Camera: live image in Gladys + switch to open/close the cover
  • Lock, intercom, siren: depending on what the device reports

Real-time

  • Alarms, level changes, and detections arrive in Gladys in less than a second, just like in the Somfy app.

Scenes

Triggers

  • Alarm triggered (intrusion, panic, or fire), with the name of the device that detected it
  • Alarm ended
  • Security level changed

Actions

  • Change the security level
  • Stop the alarm
  • Open or close a camera cover
  • Take a photo with a camera (to be placed before « Send a camera image Â»)

:light_bulb: Another example: « When my badge leaves the house → activate the alarm »

Dashboard widget

The Somfy Protect Alarm widget displays:

  • the security level and alarm status;
  • unreachable devices and low batteries;
  • buttons to activate the alarm.

:locked: The Disable and Stop Alarm buttons are hidden by default. You need to check « Allow disabling Â» in the widget. Useful if your dashboard is on a tablet in the entrance. Each button requires confirmation.

Installation

  1. Gladys 5.1.0 minimum
  2. Integrations → search for Somfy Protect → install
  3. Enter the email and password of your Somfy Protect account
  4. Click on Test the connection
  5. Discovery tab: create the devices

:backhand_index_pointing_right: Tip: create a user dedicated to Gladys in the Somfy Protect app (Settings → Users).

Good to know

  • :cloud: Cloud-only integration: Somfy does not offer local access. Internet is required.
  • :key: The password is only sent to Somfy and is never written in the logs.
  • :warning: The Somfy API is not official: it can change without notice. This integration is neither made nor supported by Somfy.
  • :globe_showing_europe_africa: Available in French, English, German, and Spanish.
