The MELCloud Home plugin allows you to connect your air-to-air and air-to-water heat pumps to Gladys.

So everything works: power on/off, mode change, setpoint temperature.

My comments:

  • when I change an element on Gladys, I do see the modification on the phone app :white_check_mark:
  • when I change on the app, I need to refresh the page to see the modifications. Ex: I turn off from the phone, it’s still ON on Gladys until I refresh the page, is that normal?
  • on the app, I have a temperature step of 0.5°C, is it possible to do this with Gladys for the setpoint?
  • for the ambient temperature, we do have decimals on Gladys :white_check_mark:
  • all we’re missing now is the horizontal and vertical sweep and we’re good to go!

The information is retrieved every minute. So normally, Gladys will update after that delay

Thanks for this integration :smiley: I’m still on Melcloud but I think I’m going to switch!

@Lokkye I use the night mode a lot on my Mitsubishi air conditioning (quieter mode at the same time on the indoor and outdoor unit), have you seen if the night mode is available in the API? :slight_smile:

If the night mode and eco mode were available via the API, that would be really great.
Personally, I always turn it on in eco mode via the remote.

My feedback:

  • during the update, the new features were well implemented :white_check_mark:
  • however, it deleted the name I had modified (before: Clim Salon, after: Salon, the name from the app) :face_with_raised_eyebrow:
  • horizontal sweep

    • we can’t select Stop and nothing happens, and I don’t know if it’s useful since it always has a position (12345) or in Swing

  • why do we have swing and sweep and not sweep everywhere? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:
  • is the Auto mode not available via the API?

It’s really great to be able to finely control the splits :star_struck:

Subsidiary question: in the living room, I have a split that does horizontal and vertical sweeping. In the bedrooms, the split is less powerful and only vertical sweeping exists, the horizontal is adjusted manually. I see that in the app and the detected devices, we have the horizontal sweep, which is useless.
Do you think we can know via the API if we can activate or deactivate features based on the split’s P/N or other information?

:zap: Real-time update

@mutmut — I had replied to you, « the information is retrieved every minute, be patient. Â» In the end, it’s better not to have to be: the integration now connects to MELCloud’s real-time stream. If you turn off the air conditioning from your phone, Gladys sees it in about one second instead of one minute.

The retrieval every minute remains active as a safety net: if the real-time stream fails, everything continues to work as before, just a bit less responsive.

:wind_face: Fan speed

New control on air conditioners: Auto, and the speeds that your unit actually declares. An air conditioner with 3 speeds won’t display 5.

It works for ventilation and real-time! :white_check_mark:

I just checked what happens when I set to Off for the 2 sweeps and the app switches to Auto, we might need to change the term then.
