Integration - Veolia

Hello everyone,

Following the request from @Olivier.L57, here is a first version of the Veolia external integration: it retrieves your water consumption from your Veolia customer space (eau.veolia.fr).

What it does

  • A « Water Meter » device per subscription:
    • meter index (m³)
    • daily consumption (L)
    • monthly and yearly consumption (m³)
  • The history is dated correctly: Veolia publishes readings with 1 to 3 days delay, each reading is sorted by the date the water was consumed. When the meter is added, the current month and the previous month are imported.
  • A dashboard widget: last day, month, year, index, daily graph (7, 14 or 30 days), reading date and reliability (measured / estimated), Refresh button.
  • 3 scene triggers:
    • New water reading
    • High water consumption: threshold in liters/day, useful for detecting a leak
    • Water reading late: the meter is no longer reporting
  • 2 scene actions:
    • Refresh water consumption
    • Get water consumption: last day, this month, last month, this year, in L and m³ (e.g.: a message on the 1st of each month with the consumption of the previous month)
  • Cloud Badge on the device: Cloud / Unreachable, with an orange dot if no more readings are coming in.
  • « Check my town » button in the configuration: enter your postal code, it tells you if your town is managed and on which portal.

Prerequisites

  • Gladys 5.1 or newer
  • A remote-read water meter and a Veolia customer space (e-mail + password)
  • Managed portals: eau.veolia.fr and Eau de Toulouse Métropole

@Olivier.L57: good news, Metz (57000) goes through the eau.veolia.fr portal :slightly_smiling_face:

Installation

  1. In Gladys: Integrations → Install an integration, search for Veolia
  2. Configuration tab: Veolia e-mail and password, then Test the connection
  3. Discovery tab: add the water meter
  4. Add the Water Consumption widget to your dashboard

To know

  • Veolia does not offer an official API for this data. The integration works like the website (same method as the Veolia Home Assistant integration). If Veolia changes its website, an update will be needed.
  • Your credentials remain in the Gladys configuration and are only sent to Veolia. The integration only reads: it does not modify anything on your account.
  • Reading every 6 hours by default (adjustable): Veolia only publishes one reading per day.

Need testers

I don’t have a Veolia meter: your feedback is precious!

  • Does Test the connection display your meter and your last reading correctly?
  • Do the values match those on the Veolia website?
  • Does your town have its own Veolia portal? Give me its address, I will add it.

In case of issues, open an issue on GitHub or reply here with the integration logs (remember to hide your e-mail and your meter number).

Thanks!
