I didn’t know about it, but indeed it can be a good solution for people like me who have a home theater and are annoyed by the wires; you still have to check idle power consumption — given the 5V 1A power supply it probably won’t be much!
I’ll add the link to the APIs — indeed it would be nice to have an integration like Sonos, though it depends on how many people have this system, but to repurpose speakers into Sonos speakers

This board only acts as a preamp at the audio output level (so to speak), you need an amplifier behind it. I modified some fairly punchy PC speakers and it works properly outdoors under my gazebo.
