Hi everyone!

New tutorial in the training: Detecting a water leak under the bathtub

I recently had a small problem with the siphon (P-trap), and I wanted to use Gladys to track whether the repair would hold up over time.

I show you in the training how I did it!

That’s great, personally I have 3 at home: the shower / the bathtub and the water heater!

I also have a Zigbee motorized valve which, if it detects a leak, shuts off the house’s main water supply… useful if it leaks while you’re on vacation!!!

Ah that’s not bad
Do you have the reference for the motorized valve, please?

That’s the right plan!! Because if it leaks while I’m on vacation, I have to go back home :joy:

This one works, but I haven’t tested it with Gladys; it’s recognized as a switch in z2mqtt

Hello,

since you launched the training, I’m hesitating to take it even though for the moment I haven’t yet started my Gladys (Gladys) (I have a lot of equipment, but lack of space… time to move, and also a bit of time)…
If I take the training, is there no access deadline? Are all the chapters accessible at all times without limitation? If there are « improvements » or modifications, will we get them too?

Hi @Gnome

I actually think that looking at the course beforehand might be a good idea to better get a sense of your home automation project before moving in. I made a deliberately very « personal » course where I film my own apartment from receiving the apartment (empty) to a home automation setup, so it might inspire you!

There is no access limit to the course, and everything I add is included. It’s an online platform so you always see the latest version of the course.

New tutorial in the course : « A connected garland? »

I show you how I connected my Christmas tree, to control it from Gladys or by voice with Google Home

The heatwave has arrived, and air conditioning quickly becomes essential: during the day to work in good conditions, and in the evening to avoid sleeping under 30 °C

I’ve been tracking my sleep for a while with my Apple Watch, and if there’s one factor that strongly influences the quality of my nights, it’s the bedroom temperature. A room that’s too hot, and you’re guaranteed a sleepless night.

Today, I’m showing you the air conditioner model I chose, and how I integrated it into Gladys Assistant

It’s available in the course!
