Personally, I find the prices for the kits quite affordable.
However, what I find a bit expensive is the Gladys Plus subscription, or more precisely the requirement to subscribe to Gladys Plus in order to import Enedis data. Personally, that’s the reason I never took the plunge with Gladys Assistant (even though I tested it on a Raspberry Pi), because I specifically wanted to integrate my Enedis data. For me, it’s only that feature in Gladys Plus that interests me, but €99 per year to be able to integrate that data is too expensive. I don’t mind paying (although with Home Assistant, you can integrate Enedis data for free), but not €99. I hope this won’t offend anyone.
