If we don’t include the weather, we won’t have the date.
But having it next to the time is nicer.
Moreover, when there will be the multi-dashboard, if the date and time are at the top, where you suggest, we will see them all the time.
I’m not a huge fan, could it be a box on the home screen instead? Like an iOS 14 widget.
I don’t see much point in putting it in this bar, especially since it will disappear when going full-screen for people who want dashboards on their walls!

I thought the menus would stay with the multi-screen, but I didn’t know we could put it in full screen by removing the bar, which indeed serves no purpose for « classic » use.
So, no use in this case.
Having the date and time visible at all times, I found that good.
I don’t know if it’s possible in full screen.

I still find it a shame not to have the date or the time, whatever the dashboard, like on a smartphone.
You have to add it to each one, one by one.
Between the dashboard selector and « Tablet Mode » there is room.
A checkbox in the system settings for those who want to have it, have it, always visible(s) whatever the dashboard might be a solution, if it’s possible.
But I might be the only one interested, and in that case, no need to develop for nothing and in that case I will make do.
As I was saying, I can see a « time » box on the home screen for full-screen dashboards!
