Mini Form Widget - Gladys - Beginner's Back Info

To all, I’m the newest newbie here, doubly new, since Gladys has only been running with me for a short time and I’m an absolute newbie in GitHub and JavaScript. Pros probably don’t need to read any further :joy:

In my last external integration, I struggled a bit with the framework conditions of the widget. Only eight elements and only four buttons etc. etc. For the specialists among you, this is probably nothing new. No input possibility for the user

Somehow by chance, I came across a hint about a mini form in the SDK and that was the solution approach for my next development of an external integration: to try « Global Connections » via a widget.

Here is a test widget that opens the mini form within the SDK 0.1.5 and returns the data to Gladys:

After clicking the Send button, the form data is sent back to the external integration, processed, and then sent back to the widget:

I achieved this through the function refresh widget:

/**

  • Updates all registered widgets, for example after establishing a connection.
    */
    export function refreshWidgets(gladys) {
    for (const key of Object.keys(WIDGETS)) {
    logger.info([Route-Test] Update requested: ${key}.);
    gladys.requestWidgetRefresh(key);
    }
    }

    So if you need communication, an input interface between user - widget - Gladys and back, you might find something here.
