New video: Gladys Assistant at your place #4, Dorian and his connected aquarium

Hello everyone!

New video, this time I’m with @Checconio who introduces us to his Gladys installation and his future projects

The video is available on YouTube here:

Thanks @Checconio for your time, it was a pleasure to discuss home automation with you!

@pierre-gilles Thanks to you too for listening to your community!

@Checconio For the cameras, you can install Motion Eye on Docker.
This allows you to record video streams and also detect motion.
There is a video on YouTube by Les Freres Poulain who install Motion Eye + Domoticz https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzyX0Wt5QCM&ab_channel=LesFreresPoulain.
I tried it and you can also integrate the video stream into Gladys.

@_Will_71 Thanks for your feedback!

But I finally managed to find a perfect solution in the meantime thanks to another parallel project I have ^^

I have the upgrade of my NAS scheduled for soon, and this new NAS also has a complete video surveillance software that has all the features I need.

And just like Gladys, it works with RTSP streams!

So I could have my basic IP camera, which connects to Gladys and will have all the advanced functions thanks to my NAS

I had seen your tutorial for sending SMS.
Could this be an integration in Gladys?

For me, just as Raspisms uses Gammu to work with the keys, Gladys could also rely on Gammu.

This would mean that the only thing left to do is to integrate Gammu and have possibilities on the Gladys side to configure phone numbers and messages (if we want to keep a simple operation).

Then we’ll see if the demand is strong enough for the dev

Assuming the key is already ready to connect.

If we consider the change in the mode of the USB key (which varies depending on the models) and the communication method which can vary between gammu and the USB keys

This will be a lot of things to develop to make the integration simple while staying in the spirit of Gladys

@Checconio I do my Node-RED time triggers like this (interval)

It’s also a good solution indeed

But in this case, I use Gladys scenes as triggers, which allows me to easily modify the trigger or activate it manually

Hello,
For the video surveillance solution, you also have Frigate, which performs detection and relies on MQTT to transmit information.
