I’ve had the error below for a few weeks on Owntracks:
error NSURLErrorDomain - 1202 The certificate for this server is invalid. You might be connecting to a server that is pretending to be “api.gladysgateway.com” which could put your confidential information at risk.
The error sometimes occurs on my phone and sometimes on my partner’s. After rebooting the phone, the location is sent and then the error returns.
Given that both our phones are on the latest version of iOS and that the configuration on the Gladys side as well as on the phone has not been changed since the Owntracks integration was set up.
Thanks for the reply, I can reproduce it and I think I know what it is! There’s a bug in the load balancer I use for Gladys Plus (Caddy) regarding the renewal of SSL certificates when using HTTP/3
Unfortunately, I believe that on iOS there is no fallback to HTTP/1.1 when HTTP/3 doesn’t work, so the bug becomes visible
The latest Caddy update should normally fix the issue — I’ll update it and see how it goes
I just tested and both phones immediately updated their location without error.
I’ll keep you posted if I have the issue again but for now it seems fine
