A camera may be disconnected because it is being repaired, for example, or in case of Wi‑Fi failure.
The camera image continues to be displayed as if the camera were still connected, and this clutters the logs.
It would be useful to be able to disable the camera in the integration and to have a message on the camera image on the dashboard.
Similarly, having the timestamp of the last image would be helpful to know if a camera is disconnected, and since when.
On Tapo cameras, you can enable the timestamp. My cameras often freeze and I know the exact time.
But having a message « camera stream offline » would be a plus.
Yes, on mine there’s no time code possible, alas…
Personally, with Node-RED I ping them regularly and I’m notified via Telegram.
I only have Tapo devices and it’s true that the date/time is very handy.
